4 Children's Playground at Lindenow Sportsground The Lindenow Sports Ground Committee of Management is applying for this funding to establish a children's playground at the sports ground. The sports ground has many user groups including the Lindenow Football Netball Club, Lindenow Cricket Club, Lindenow Bowls Club all of which have strong children participation levels. In addition the COM has recently upgraded the netball facilities, which has led to an increase in female participation. Many of these participants have children that would benefit from a playground near the facility. It will increase physical activity for both children and parents in the one location. Lindenow is a small rural town that is growing rapidly. The sports ground is used by many user groups such as the Lindenow Football Netball Club, Lindenow Cricket Club, Lindenow Bowls Club. All of these groups are family orientated with families at the sports ground most days. The playground would be fenced but not locked, so that it can be used by all families in the community everyday. The kinder and school could use the playground as well as local playgroups. It will increase physical activity for both children and parents in the one location. For us to get the playground we need as many votes as possible. To vote register with Pick my Project. Put your locations as Lindenow. Select 3 projects (Including the Lindenow Playground) Submit Vote.

There were two camps of called Iguana Creek Camp and the other one was Lakeside Camp. We stayed at Iguana Creek Camp. The person that was showing us around was called Emmy. On camp I shared a room with Kade, Nash and Jack. My favorite activities were the hut building, the climbing wall and the flying fox. My favorite activity was the hut building because you got to lift big logs and find bark to make a really awesome hut, but it all was a bit disappointing when Emmy and all the teachers said that we were not sleeping in them. My second favorite activity was the climbing wall. I climbed to the top on both of my goes at climbing wall. My third favorite activity was the flying fox, you put a harness on and a backpack so that you can carry the harnesses back up the hill for the next person to go. Everyone had two go s at the flying fox. Coonawarra farm resort was loads of fun and Reg was the best camp leader ever!!! By Ollie
6 Coonawarra camp Last week grade three and four went to Coonawarra for 3 days. When I got there we set our room and who we were sleeping with. And I was in the same cabin with Ollie, Nash and Jack. When we finished our room the works told us where the briefest room is And where the out of bonus are. Then we had morning tea. When we finished morning tea we had half an hour to play. Then we got to our activity. I d played volleyball with my friends. We did canoeing and orienteering. Canoeing was fun, I was in a canoe with Nash. The next day we did the flying fox first. By Kade Coonawarra Camp On Wednesday the 5 to 7 of September grade 3and 4 went to coonawarra farm resort it wasn t far from school it was only 20 minutes away. When we got there we found our bags, who we were sleeping with and what rooms we were in. I was sleeping with Ayla, Tyla, Abby, and Laura we were in room 16 and I slept on a top bunk. Then everybody split up into 4 groups. I was in group one with Abby, Ollie, Des, Alex, Tori, Dallas, Jack, Blade. The first thing our group did was the flying fox. At first I was petrified but when I went on it it was amazing!!! I wanted to do it again. For the past few days grade three and four did climbing wall, hut building, damper making, Archery, canoeing, orienteering, giant swing, horse riding, night walk. My other three favorite were archery horse riding and the night walk. Archery was one of the last things we did. You need a bow and arrow I liked doing it. I nearly hit the board but I didn t. For horse riding I went a on a horse called Ranger he was calm it was a long and fun walk he was a beautiful horse. After dinner on the first night we went on a night walk. We got our torches grade 3 and 4 all walk up to a sign that said 3km. A few times we stopped and looked up while we turned our torches off. It was lovely to see the Milky Way in the bush. I saw 5 kangaroos and two wallabies. Camp was amazing I would definitely do it again. By Ella Coonawarra Camp Last week on the 5 th -7 th of September grade 3-4 went to Coonawarra camp for two nights and three days. When we got there the teachers told us who we were sharing a cabin with. I was with Laura, Abby, Ella and Ayla. Me Ella and Ayla slept on the top bunks and Laura and Abby slept on the bottom bunks. Laura was under me and Abby was under Ella and no one was under Ayla. After everyone unpacked their bags we had lunch. For lunch we had hamburgers mine fell apart so I had something from my lunchbox. After lunch we went into the activity groups and did our first activity. The people in my group were Laura, Ayla, Millie, Addi, Spencer, Cody, Harry, Liam, Archie and Kj. The first activity was climbing wall and I went all the way to the top both times. After we did wall climbing we went canoeing. I was in the canoe with Laura.
7 The last activity for the first day was the flying fox which is one of my favorite activities out of them all. I had lots of fun on it and I could see a lot from the high distance. The next day our groups got ready for breakfast. Then we got ready for our first activity for the second day. I had the giant swing first. I went all the way to the top and I got frightened when I pulled the rope. After the giant swing was my next activity which was archery. I liked archery and I hit the white part of the target. When we finished our activities we got ready to do hut building and damper making. My groups hut wasn t really waterproof but I really liked damper this was also one of my favorite activities we did. After we did that we had dinner and my favorite part was the desert it was ice cream. When we finished desert we watched the Captain Underpants movie then we went to bed. On the last day of the camp my first activity was horse riding this was also my favorite one. I got some old clothes on and was ready to ride. I rode the horse Lolli she was so cute and calm. She was also very nice she loved me and I loved her. After horse riding we did orienteering I found all the letters and found out the sentence. After the activity we had a little play and then got our bags and went back to school. Camp was amazing and I loved it!!! I can t wait till the next one!!! By Tyla Grade 3/4 Coonawarra Camp On Wednesday the 5 th of September, grades 3 & 4 went to Coonawarra Farm Resort for camp. It lasted until Friday the 7 th of September. When we got to camp Emmy, our instructor, told us about all the exciting things we were going to do. Then we went and lined up in front of our cabins and the teachers told us what cabins we were sleeping in and who we were sleeping with. I was in cabin number 16 with Ella, Tyla, Laura and Abby. It was very comfy. After we put our bags in our cabins we lined up again and we got split into four activity groups. I was in group 3 with Harry, Laura, Tyla, Addison, Cody.P, Archie, K.J, Milly, Liam and Spencer. The activities were Climbing Wall, Canoeing, Flying Fox, Giant Swing, Archery, Hut Building, Damper Making, Horse Riding and Orienteering. They were all fun and thrilling. My favourites were the Giant Swing and Horse Riding. The Giant Swing was fantastic and breathtaking. I went to the top both times. When we went Horse Riding I rode a horse called Milo. When we rode up hill he went quite fast. Camp was awesome! I can t wait to go back again! by Ayla
