Each show is sure to be AMAZING, THRILLING and OUT OF THIS WORLD, as we celebrate the th season of! We are excited to announce and share all the details about our upcoming Year-End Shows! Inside this packet you will find dress rehearsal dates, show dates, ticket info, show order, picture info, hairstyles, tights and shoe info, and much more. Please take time to read this packet carefully as it is loaded with very important information to ensure you and your dancer have a great Year-End Show experience! Also, make sure you save it as a reference tool for the weeks leading up to the big days! YEAR-END SHOW INFORMATIONAL MEETINGS The owners/directors of Rhythm Dance Center, Becca Moore and Dani Rosenberg, will be holding three informational meetings at Rhythm to cover all the details of our Year-End Show. We strongly encourage all parents to attend one of the meetings to get an idea of what to expect at a Rhythm Dance Center Year-End Show. This is especially important if this will be your first year participating in our show. It is a great time to hear ALL the details you need to know and a chance to ask any questions you might have. This will help make you and your dancer s Year-End Show experience seamless, exciting and memorable for the whole family! This is where all six shows and dress rehearsals will be held. This will be the 13th consecutive year we will present our Year-End Shows at The Ferst Center! Ferst Center for the Arts, Georgia Institute of Technology 349 Ferst Drive NW, Atlanta, GA Dress Rehearsal Dates: Tuesday, May 29 - Wednesday, May 30 Time: See inside for specific day and time for your dancer s dress rehearsal YEAR-END SHOW DATES/TIMES Thursday, May 31 at 7:00 p.m. Friday, June 1 at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, June 2 at 1:00p.m. and 6:30p.m. Sunday, June 3 at 1:00p.m. and 6:30p.m.

2 TicketS Year-End Show tickets will go on sale Monday, April 30 at 5:00 p.m.! We are super excited to announce that all Year-End Show tickets will again be sold ONLINE this year! We will not be selling any tickets at the studio, so you must go online to purchase your tickets! We will be using a new vendor this year: Dance Recital Ticketing. There will be no priority ticket sales this year, all tickets will be released at the same time! This means you need to purchase your tickets EARLY to guarantee seats at the show(s) you wish to attend. NEW THIS YEAR! All tickets are RESERVED SEATING and $15.00 each. You will receive an from us this week with specific instructions, details and a link where you can easily purchase your tickets online. If you don t receive the by April 23, please let us know at the front desk via phone, or in person as we are happy to help and want to ensure you are able to purchase your tickets in a timely manner! Once your tickets are purchased, you will receive an . While we will be able to scan your phone at the door, we do encourage you to print your tickets and bring them with you as well in the event of an unexpected technical issue. OUR SHOWS SELL OUT!! We do anticipate a full theater and potential sold out shows. Please purchase your tickets EARLY to ensure you and any guests who wish to attend your dancer s performance will have a seat! Ferst Center/Rhythm Ticket Policies: If you have misplaced your tickets and do not have the receipt/ confirmation showing proof of your online purchase, you will need to re-purchase tickets at the door. This is assuming tickets are still available for that particular show. Once you are able to show proof of purchase, we will happily refund the money you ve paid for new tickets. No refunds for unused tickets. Doors will open 30 minutes prior to each show. Anyone occupying a seat will need a ticket. Dancers DO NOT need a ticket, unless they will be attending a show they are not dancing in. All dancers in the show will be backstage in a dressing room. No parents or dancers are allowed in theater in between shows. Year-End Pictures Dale Minshew of Atl Imaging will be shooting group and individual pictures of all Year-End Show routines. For your convenience, the group photos will be taken at the dress rehearsal immediately following each routine. Individual photos will also be taken at dress rehearsal at The Ferst Center. Dale will be set up in the lobby of The Ferst Center for you to have your dancer s individual photos taken at your convenience. They will be set up Tuesday, May 29, 9:30 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. & 3:00-9:30 p.m. and Wednesday, May 30, 11:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. & 3:00-7:30 p.m. You may have your photos taken anytime during these hours on a first come, first served basis. We suggest having photos taken after your dancer s dress rehearsal as we must stay on schedule. We will not hold a routine due to a dancer waiting in line to have their photo taken. Pictures will be posted online ready to view/purchase by Monday, June 4. If you place an order by Monday, June 11, you will receive a 10% discount! DvDs New for 2018! All Year-End Shows will be professionally filmed and edited by EAP Dance Photography & Video. You will have the ability to purchase either a DVD or a streaming option! We will send a separate to the entire studio soon with details on cost, how to order and other details. All orders will be delivered directly to you no later than July 15! Remember, personal video taping and flash photography during the actual performances is strictly prohibited. You are welcome to film the dress rehearsal!

3 FLOWERS Goodie Bags Each dancer will receive a special Goodie Bag with a few special souvenirs from the show! This is a reward for their great performances and hard work in classes this year. Goodie Bags will be passed out to the dancers following their performance. Each dancer will receive one Goodie Bag, even if they take multiple classes. Stop by our in-studio boutique, Flair, for all your Year-End Show needs! We will be fully stocked with everything on your Year-End Show checklist throughout the month of May! We encourage you to visit FLAIR during that time to purchase your dancers necessities. A limited supply will also be available at all shows, but please prepare ahead of time by visiting Flair! Stock up on: Hairnets and hairpins for buns, white anklet socks, tights, sparkly make-up, shoes, and much more! Check our website for Flair hours of operation! Surprise your dancer with a beautiful bouquet of flowers after their performance! Flowers and roses will be available for purchase in the theater lobby during all the shows. There are several different price points and varieties to choose from, all packaged beautifully! T-SHIRTS! Class Info Colorful t-shirts will be available for purchase at the dress rehearsals and all shows. They will be available in all sizes (while supplies last) for kids and adults. The cost for the t-shirt is $ Please try to attend ALL classes for the next few weeks, so all dancers can be well prepared for the big show! This is a great memento from the show, and also great to wear year round to and from dance class! The last day of dance is SATURDAY, MAY 26! GRADUATION WEEK: We are so proud of our TWIRL program and what it provides to our little dancers! The week of May 7-12, parents for all TWIRL classes are invited into the classroom for a quick presentation of certificates for each dancer! Mark your calendars, and be on the lookout for an with more details!

4 Dress Rehearsal Dress Rehearsal is a very important part of the Year-End Show experience. It will be held at The Ferst Center for the Arts on the Georgia Tech campus. This is the first time the dancers will see what the theater looks like, dance on stage and get a true feel for what the actual show will be like. We provided your dancer s dress rehearsal date in November with your Year-End Show costume packet. Just in case, the dates and times are listed in this packet as well! The time listed on the chart is the time your dancer will be dancing on stage. You are required to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your scheduled rehearsal time! Your dancer must be checked in with Rhythm staff and seated in the audience at least 30 minutes prior. We will not wait past the scheduled time for any dancer, and we cannot perform the routine again if you arrive late. We typically run on time, almost to the minute. So, if you do not arrive 30 minutes PRIOR to your scheduled time, your dancer may miss the rehearsal. Trust us, it is no fun for your dancer if they are late or miss their rehearsal! This is an important day, so please make an extra effort to ensure an on-time arrival. Make sure you allow time for traffic and for parking. Remember, you will be traveling through downtown Atlanta, so you should always allow extra time. Also, please be prepared to pay for parking on this day. As you enter the theater, we will have specific seats labeled for each class to sit in. Make sure you know the name of your dancer s Year-End Show routine. These seats are for the dancers only. It is VERY important that the dancers be sitting with their class, as this is where we will get them to go backstage for their rehearsal. As soon as they come off stage, they will have their class photo taken. We will then bring them back into the theater to meet you and you may leave at that time or head to the lobby to have your individual picture taken. There is a dressing space immediately to your left when you walk in the building, should your dancer have multiple routines and costumes. IMPORTANT: If your dancer has only ONE routine, PLEASE bring them dressed and ready to go. Remember, dress rehearsal is a great time to videotape your dancer as videotaping is strictly prohibited at the actual shows. Please take as many photos as you would like! On show night, there can be no flash photography, but taking pictures without a flash is fine. Plan on arriving 30 minutes prior to your scheduled time, and allow approximately half hour after your time to complete your group/individual pictures. If you have one class, you should plan on being at the theater for about an hour. We generally run a very tight schedule, and stay on time. Directions, Parking, Parking Fees Take 75 South to Exit 249D and turn right on North Avenue. Turn right on Tech Parkway. Go to the next traffic light and turn right on Regents Street. Go about 100 feet to the next light and turn right onto Ferst Drive. The parking deck will be on the left. Look for Area 3 Parking sign. PLEASE be prepared to pay a parking fee ($7.00) during the Tuesday and Wednesday dress rehearsals. This is not a Rhythm Dance Center policy nor a Georgia Tech policy and is out of our control. However, for the shows, we have arranged for all our guests to park at no cost (Area 3 Deck Only). As long as you are entering between 4:00-8:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, parking will be free. Remember, this is during the shows only! Stage MakeUp & Hair STAGE MAKEUP: The lights on the stage are very bright, and the theater is large! All dancers will need to wear makeup for both the dress rehearsal and the show. This will make their beautiful faces stand out on the stage and not be washed out by the lights! For the younger dancers, we suggest blush, lipstick, and glitter. The older dancers should wear blush, lipstick, eye makeup and glitter. All dancers should look their best for the big day! Body glitter is great too and adds an extra touch! Flair has a limited supply of fun glitter and lip-gloss for this occasion! Stop by to check it out! HAIR: For uniformity, we assign each class a specific hairstyle for the performance. Please make sure you are aware of this hairstyle! Hair should be as neat and clean as possible. If your assigned hairstyle is for the hair to be up, please make sure it is secure! If your class hairstyle says Pretty, this just means to fix your child s hair however you like best. This is a special day, so you should make a special effort to make your dancer look their best! Use gel/clips/hairspray to smooth fly-aways so that all dancers have a classy and uniform look on stage! If you have a hairpiece, please also make sure it is very secure so that it does not fall off during the performance! Dress Rehearsal is just as important so please do hair and makeup for this day just as you would for the show!

5 ...The Big Day! This is the big day your dancer has worked for all year! You will need to arrive at the Ferst Center at least 30 minutes before the show begins. As you enter the building, the dancer dressing/holding room will be immediately on your left. You will drop your dancer off in this room (where you will be greeted by numerous RDC staff members), and continue on to find a seat and enjoy the show. If your dancer only has one routine, we ask they arrive dressed in their costume with hair and makeup done. This will help things run smoothly! There will be Rhythm Staff members in the dressing room to assist with costume and hair changes. Please make the dressing room staff aware if your child has a quick change (only two routines to change). We will make sure the change is made quickly! There will be a monitor with a live feed of the show in the dressing room so the kids can watch the show, too. If your dancer is only performing in Act 1, you may pick them up at intermission at the designated area for their specific class and return to the theater to enjoy the rest of the show. Dancers will not be released from the dressing room until intermission and must be picked up by a parent. If your dancer is performing in Act 2 only, they may watch the first act in the theater (as long as seats are available) and report to the dressing/holding room at the beginning of intermission. If the show is sold out, all dancers will need to stay in the dressing room for the entire performance. We ask that you keep entrances and exits in the theater to a minimum during the show, as it can be a distraction to the dancers on stage as well as other audience members. NO parents, family, or friends will be allowed in the backstage area at anytime. PRESCHOOL & KINDERGARTEN INTERMISSION PICK-UP To help alleviate the hectic pick-up process that tends to take place during intermission, we are assigning each preschool and kindergarten class a specific location to be picked up during intermission. Each class will receive an letting you know exactly where to meet your young dancer at intermission. These s will be sent closer to the show date. All other dancers (non preschool/kindergarten dancers) will still need to be picked up in the main dressing room. Thank you in advance for your patience as we try to make the flow of our already fabulous show even better! Seating: All seats will be reserved seating this year! We will open the theater 30 minutes prior to showtime. If your dancer is in multiple shows on the same day, you will need to exit the theater after the first show, and make sure you take all belongings. You may not leave items in your seats for future shows. We clean the theater between each show, and any items left will be turned in to the lost and found.
