What s Happening Practice/tornament wear and backpacks are expected to start arriving soon and will be distribted to players at pcoming practices. Team pictre information for the girls teams has been posted to the website. Be sre to mark yor calendars. Don t miss it! Exciting things are in the works for beach volleyball! Players will be hearing more abot it soon, with details of this great opportnity being posted on the website and sent home with players. The adidas A2 Spirit Wear store will be open for new orders Janary 15 th 19th.

2 Volnteers Needed for Concessions The Clb will be hosting some tornaments throghot the pcoming clb season, and we are in need of volnteers to help with concessions dring these events. If yo are interested in earning some credit towards yor player s clb fees by assisting, please shanservick@advancementacademy.org. Fitness & Ntrition Tips Work yor core from every angle! Something New: adidas A2 Spirit Wear In the near ftre, we hope to be able to offer a convenient way for parents and players to prchase some of the most commonly needed items by having an inventory at the clb. These items will likely inclde shirts, spandex, and more. This will spplement the items that are fond on the Webstore, and eliminate the wait time for them. Details will be provided as this project progresses. Who doesn t want a stronger core? Yo move better and feel better with a stronger core. A strong core means yo can lift more, rn faster and generally yo are at less risk for injry, especially low back pain. Bt strengthening yor core means doing more than crnches. It means sing compond exercises that work down yor front-side and yor back-side. It means working yor core with a variety of different movements that work it from a variety of angles. Some of the best movements to work yor core inclde: Glte Bridges Hanging Abs Bodyweight Crnch-less Core Moves

3 Tornament Reslts In the Boys Holiday Tornament: 12 Green took 2 nd in gold, with 12 Shamrock placing 5 th. 14 Green finished 5 th in gold. 14 Shamrock placed 1 st in nickel. 16 Green finished 5 th in gold. 17 Green and Shamrock finished in bronze and copper, respectively. 18 Green finished in nickel, with 18 Shamrock placing in silver. At Corts 4 Sports: 12 Green Boys won 1st place in gold. 12 Shamrock Boys finished 3 rd in gold. Asked what she wished a coach had said to her years ago, she replied, Yor tre character is in yor work ethic, yor generosity towards yor teammates and yor persistence. Winning now is great, bt learning how to fail with grace and get back p and try again is the biggest skill that yo need to master, and it will pave the road for sccess later in life. 7 Toy Drive Thank yo to everyone who generosly contribted to the holiday toy drive that was coordinated by 12 Green to benefit Nationwide Children s Hospital. There s no dobt that yor thoghtfl donations brightened a yong child s holiday. Help Us Ot! Snap a great photo at a tornament or other A2 event? We encorage yo to sbmit it to or social media sites, tag s, or pload it to the A2 app. We will try to inclde as many of the pictres we receive as possible in or newsletters. It s also important that players complete the bio/information form if they haven t done so yet. This info will be inclded in ftre newsletters. OVR Membership Another reminder, if yor player has not yet pdated their OVR membership to a fll stats and selected A2 as their clb, they mst do so immediately. Players are not allowed to play in any tornament if this is not done.
