2 abot Girls on the Rn of Silicon Valley (GOTRSV) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization serving girls in Santa Clara and Santa Crz conties. We offer life-changing, after-school programs for girls in 3rd-8th grade: silicon valley Girls on the Rn for elementary school girls Heart & Sole for middle school girls or mission We inspire girls to be joyfl, healthy, and confident sing a fn, experience-based crriclm which creatively integrates rnning. season dates Or ten-week program rns from March throgh May with teams meeting twice a week after school. We celebrate the end of the season with the annal Girls on the Rn 5K at Vasona Park in Los Gatos on May 18, or annal gotr 5K at vasona park in Los Gatos annal 5K Or 5K is an event like no other! Close to 8,000 people, inclding participants, spectators & volnteers, will join together for an amazing day of rnning, walking, and celebrating healthy living. Participants and spectators gather in the Family Fn Area of the main vene for fn, pre and post-event activities. Favorites inclde the Happy Hair station (participants can have their hair sprayed with temporary hair color) and the cstom Girls on the Rn Pictre Garden (girls and parents pose behind the inspirational photo frames). Or top s are highlighted at the Family Fn Area with Sponsor Bingo (participants earn stamps by visiting each booth and completed cards earn a prize and raffle entry). The Girls on the Rn DJ keeps the msic going dring the high-energy, pre-race warm-ps and post-race DanceFest. Participants enjoy collecting colorfl beads throghot the corse and a Girls on the Rn medal pon completion of the 5K.

4 At Girls on the Rn of Silicon Valley, we want to keep or program as affordable as possible for all girls Or actal cost of $340 per participant incldes crriclm books, coach training, staff spport, t-shirts and water bottles for girls and coaches, coach backgrond checks, school facility fees, insrance, GOTR International fees, and more. Participants pay $220 at standard sites and only $25 at fll-scholarship sites (schools with 70%+ of stdents eligible for free lnch) fndraising Girls on the Rn of Silicon Valley relies on fndraising in order to help s keep or program fees as low as possible. In addition, these fnds help provide scholarships and rnning shoes for girls in need. Program and 5K registration acconts program revene - How do we make p the difference? Girls on the Rn relies on fndraising revene to make p the fnding gap. This revene comes from ships, donations, events, and grants. 5K revene total revene - = $340 $25-$220 $120 - $315 actal cost per girl registration fees per girl fndraising revene grants events campaigns partnerships fnding gap ships fndraising revene donations a for only 67% of or total revene and we fndraise the remaining 33% to make or programs happen.
