2 Overview Who We Are Girls on the Run is a physical activity-based positive youth development program designed to develop and enhance girls social, psychological, and physical competencies to successfully navigate life experiences. Over the course of the program girls will: Develop and Improve Competence Feel Confidence in Who They Are Develop Strength of Character Respond to Others and Oneself with Care and Compassion Create Positive Connections with Peers and Adults Make a Meaningful Contribution to Community and Society We believe that every girl can embrace who she is, can define who she wants to be, can rise to any challenge, can change the world. 3 Program Why are we seeking funding? I have seen this program change girls lives, & then seen [the girls] helping & changing other girls lives. I hope the message gets out about this awesome program! 6 Community Supporter As a local non-profit organization which impacts thousands of girls lives, we know corporations are now more than ever looking to make an impact and give back to the girls in Worcester County through volunteer service, in-kind trades, donations, or even hosting a GOTR event. Corporations are also looking to encourage this give back spirit amongst their employees by matching employee donations and donating money for employee volunteer hours. Corporate or Organizational Volunteer Service Company or group could volunteer at a specific GOTR event or workday Corporate Discounts or Coupons for GOTR Families, Coaches, and Volunteers Business could offer any discount of company choice to promote business and drive traffic Company Matching Gifts and Volunteer Grant Programs Check with current employer to see if it matches employee donations or donates money for employee volunteer time Volunteer Appreciations Girls on the Run would not be possible without our volunteers. Our wonderful GOTR coaches and other volunteers will be recognized at our bi-annual coach training held at the beginning of the Spring and Fall seasons. We are looking to honor our volunteers and coaches during both the Fall and Spring Seasons in a way that celebrates their contributions. Our volunteers largely impact the lives of girls in the Worcester area. We are always grateful for their support. Upcoming Fundraisers Events Girls on the Run will host its 4th Annual Golf tournament at Blackstone National Golf Course on August 26, Supporters from across Worcester County fill the course for a fun day of golf and comradery and cap off the evening with a celebratory dinner. Hole sponsorships are available for $ which includes tee placement signage as well as GPS digital signage on each golf cart. As a 501(c)3 non-profit, your donations are essential. Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated. Please note: You may be able to double or triple your donation impact!
