2 Page 2 TCBA News News from Headquarters by Keith Savoie I hope everyone had a great Christmas and hope you will have a prosperous New Year will hopefully be a growing year for the TCBA. Everyone has been very supportive and helpful during my first six months in office, and I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart. We are hoping to expand into new areas in the coming year, and hopefully regain lost regions and grow in our existing regions as well. Assuming the task of running the TCBA is one that I don t take lightly. My hat s off to Joe and Dee Cramer. I run a marine towing business in New Orleans consisting of 10 pushboats with 100+ employees. I understand the demand that a company can put on someone. It is enlightening how they kept on top of deadlines, operations, scheduling and, oh yeah, the rest of life s little curves without complaint. I thank the members of the Executive Board and our tournament staff for endless hours of dedication to making the TCBA work like a fine tuned machine for all who participate in the World s greatest league. The 2011 National Playoffs will be hosted by Forum Bowl in Grand Prarie and Red Bird s in Duncanville. The women s wildcard and qualifications will be bowled at Forum Bowl. The men s wildcard will be bowled at Red Bird s and their qualifications at Forum Bowl. Semi-finals and finals will be bowled at Forum Bowl. It is always better to make your reservations early because the rooms fill up quickly. Also, it is a good idea to keep this newsletter so you will have the lane assignments and tournament information handy. TCBA Playoff weekend raffle It s time to get your raffle tickets!! This year there will be over $3000 worth of prizes consisting of Visionary bowling balls, bags, and other items. The ticket cost is $5 for a chance on a door prize plus a chance to win the grand prize. (If your ticket is drawn for a door prize, it will be put back in for the drawing of the grand prize.) The grand prize is a $500 platinum membership from our TCBA sponsor, Visionary Bowling Products! Check it out at Click on Test Staff and scroll down to the $500 platinum membership. It explains the membership thoroughly and the rules of the membership to be fulfilled by the winner. The membership offers 2 bowling shirts, 1 towel, 3 ball bag and 4 different bowling balls. What is nice about the raffle is the winner does not have to be present to win, or even be a member of TCBA. Prizes will be mailed to winners not present. The prizes will be drawn on Saturday, before the semi-finals. Winners will be listed on our web site and in the August issue of the TCBA News.
