Vo-Ag Approval Request The Board approved the request of Mr. and Mrs. William Grizzanti, 310 Lanewood Drive, for their son, Brady, a Freshman, to attend the Mohawk Area School District s Vocational Agricultural Program effective for the school term thru graduation from the program, as required by Section 1809 of the Public School Code. B. Academic Games Schedule 2. Athletics The Board granted permission for Neshannock Memorial Elementary and Junior/Senior High School students and their advisors, Bobbi Medure and Sarah Wells, to attend the Academic Games at Slippery Rock University for the school term, including bus transportation provided by the Neshannock Township School District at a District cost of $10 per participant. The following individual was elected to the position indicated for the school term/season only: Adam Held Assistant Boys Soccer Coach 3. Personnel A. Mrs. Jennifer Dayton, Girls Scouts, was granted permission for use of the Neshannock Memorial School cafeteria from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. on September 20; October 4, 10; November 1, 15; December 6, 20, 2017; January 3, 17; February 7, 21; March 7, 21; April 4, 18; May 2, 16; and June 6, 2018, to conduct Girls Scout meetings. No fee will be assessed. B. Mrs. Wendy Hutchison, Neshannock PTO, was granted permission for use of the Neshannock Memorial School gymnasium, cafeteria, and PTO Room, from 3:30 to 10:00 p.m. on January 11, 2018, to conduct the annual Father/Daughter Dance. No fee will be assessed. C. Mrs. Wendy Hutchison, Neshannock PTO, was granted permission for use of the Neshannock Memorial Schoool multi-purpose room, middle gymnasium, and the Neshannock Junior/Senior High School gymnasium from 3:30 p.m. on Monday, May 31, 2018, through 3:30 p.m. on Friday, June 1, 2018, to conduct the allschool elementary carnival. 7. Financial Issues A. Purchased Service Contract Union Area School District The Board approved a Purchased Service Contract with the Union Area School District for the transportation of student to Glade Run Lutheran Services for the school year at a cost of $90 per day.

Agreement Lifelong Learning The Administration was authorized to enter into an Agreement with Lifelong Learning effective September 2017 thru May 2018; to continue to provide remediation services to students in preparation for Keystone Algebra testing at a cost not to succeed $15,000. C. LCSS/School District Collaboration Agreement The Collaboration Agreement between LCSS and the Neshannock Township School District for the placement of a Pre-K Counts classroom for the period from August 1, 2017, thru June, 30, 2018, was approved. D. LCSS Contract to Sell/Purchase Meals from Schools 8. Board Issues The Contract to Sell or Purchase Meals from Schools between the purchaser, Lawrence County Social Services, Inc., and the Neshannock Township School District for the period from August 1, 2017, ending June 30, 2018, was approved. A. Request to Swim Independently The request of Mrs. Karen McBeth that her son Conner McBeth be permitted to swim as an independent varsity high school swimmer at the Farrell High School for the school year/season was approved. In addition, she was approved to serve as his coach and will assume any and all costs involved through the scheduled swim season. B. Board Policies 1. The following policy appeared for an additional First Read: a. Policy #808, Food Services (revisions) and #808 Attachment (new) 2. The following policies appeared for Second Read/Adoption: a. Policy #246, Wellness (revisions) b. Policy #827, Conflict of Interest (new) c. Policy #917, Parent/Family Involvement (revision)
6 Page 6 8. Board Issues cont. C. Bus Routes The bus routes for the school year as prepared by Karen DeCarlo, Transportation Director, were approved. D. Permission to Discard The Administration s request to discard decommissioned wireless network system materials was approved. E. Memorandum of Agreement The Board approved ratification of the Memorandum of Agreement by and between the Neshannock Township Education Association and the Neshannock Township School District relative to the continued providing of remediation services to students in preparation for the state-mandated Keystone Algebra test during the school year. F. Education Foundation Individuals were appointed as Trustees to the Neshannock Township Education Foundation for one and three year terms. TPM/dag
