1 News, Highlights & What s Biting May 2006 Spring Issue 2 Quality Time Fishing Club Founded Officers: President Charles Smith Vice-President James Dixon, Sr. Secretary Mario Arriola Treasurer James Jackson Tournament Director John Perkins, Sr. Mission Statement The mission of QTFC is to teach and provide hands-on experience of fishing techniques to all youth and instill values and character of outdoor life experiences, environmental awareness, outdoor ethics, personal responsibility and goal attainment. Our aim is to get youth out of the city so that they may acquire the appreciation of outdoor living and provide them with a more positive vision of what their lives can be. Greetings from the President With 2005 behind us, we are looking forward to an exciting season for We have always expressed great dedication to our Mission and will continue to work hard to bring you excellent and exciting activities. With genuine enthusiasm, we anxiously look forward to exploring new territories and fishing techniques. The Club s primary function is to provide informational programs and events that allow members to take advantage of the many fishing opportunities that exist in the Gulf Coast region. Members are encouraged to participate in club tournaments, fishing outings, special how to clinics and a number of social functions. Our wish for you this season May the BIG ONE find its way to the end of your line. Meetings. Meetings are held on the 3 rd Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m., unless notified, at the HCC Pinemont Campus, 1265 Pinemont. Many of our meetings feature a guest speaker, often a professional guide or experienced angler who covers tackle selection, rigging methods and techniques that have proven successful in local waters. Our Club meetings and the QTFC Newsletter aim to provide timely and exclusive fishing, boating and social activities, as well as important business issues. Results of Election of 2006 Officers.
