Except for extending the range tee forward, almost all of the significant earth moving has been done. Continue to follow the construction process by going to the Club s website or Facebook page. Recently, both the new 18 th (soon to be 9 th ) green and the new putting green were built according to USGA specifications. They will be the only two greens on the golf course built from the start to these high standards. Those of you interested in the details on how a green is built to USGA specifications, please visit monos/2018recommendationsmethodputtinggreen.pdf Last week the greens firmed up enough for Glen to finally get the mowers on them. This got speeds up to a reasonable level after a couple of weeks of uncharacteristically slow greens. He also moved cup locations giving us a couple of new looks on each hole. Two holes will continue to be cut in each green for a little while longer, so remember to move pins after putting out. Finally, several members have noticed that there seem to be more unfilled divots on the course than usual. At this time of year you can always replace the sod back into the divot. If this is not possible, use the sand mix provided in the bottles on your cart. The sod will take hold and the grass will grow even in winter months.
