3 Welcome to our 75th Annual Show! The flower show was a great event in Almost 400 entries were made in the competition classes and there was a great range of activities for all ages outside. Thank you to everybody who took part. We are very enthusiastic about improving and developing the show and we have revised many of the classes to encourage as many people as possible to enter. Please support this village event and your local show by taking part in the classes. How to enter the flower show Ÿ This schedule contains the list of the classes that can be entered. Please choose the classes you wish to enter. Ÿ Complete the entry form (back page) and make sure we receive it at one of the addresses shown on the form by 3rd September. Ÿ Please include the correct entry fees. Ÿ If you wish, you may enter by - please your name, address and class numbers to csmflowershow@gmail.com. If you enter by , you will need to pay your entry fees when you come to the hall with your exhibits. Ÿ Please bring your exhibits to the hall between 7.30am and 10.30am on Saturday 5th September. Collect your entry cards, pay any outstanding entry fees and stage your exhibits on the tables where shown. There will be stewards to help you. Ÿ You must have staged your exhibits and have left the hall by 10.30am for judging to start. Ÿ You may return to the hall at 2pm and prize money is collected after 3.15pm. You may remove your exhibits after the presentation. Ÿ Good luck and we look forward to seeing you at the show! The Dog Show This takes place at 3pm in the car park. No entry form is required for this, just be at the hall at 3pm. There is a 1 charge for each class entered. 3

7 RULES AND REGULATIONS ALL ENTRIES TO REMAIN IN PLACE UNTIL AFTER THE PRESENTATION OF CUPS AND PRIZES. 1. The classes in this schedule are open to all, irrespective of residence. 2. All exhibits must have been made or grown by the exhibitor (except for flower arrangements) or have been in their possession for at least 4 months prior to the show. Anyone infringing this rule will be disqualified and forfeit all prizes. They may be disqualified from future shows. 3. All exhibits MUST be in the hall and arrangements completed by am on the morning of the show. Exhibit cards will be available in the hall. 4. Should there not be a sufficient number of entries in a class, or should an exhibit be deemed unworthy of a prize the Committee and or Judge may withhold a prize. Cash prizes may be claimed from 3:15 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. prize money not collected by 4.15 pm will be deemed as having been donated to the show. 5. No Art, Photography, Handicraft or Stitchcraft exhibits shall have been previously entered in the show. 6. The E. H. Guy Perpetual Challenge Cup cannot be won by the same exhibitor more than three years in succession. 7. Points (which count towards the award of cups and trophies) will be awarded as follows: 1st 3 points, 2nd 2 points, 3rd 1 point. 8. An Exhibitor will not be awarded more than one prize in each class. 9. No exhibit shall be removed from the hall until the prize giving of all cups and prizes are complete. 10. The Committee reserve the right to refuse any entry, which does not comply with the conditions of entry set down in the schedule. 11. The Committee may inspect the garden or allotment of any exhibitor one week before or up to one week after the show. 12. The Committee cannot accept any responsibility for injury or loss to any Persons or property, incurred while taking part as an exhibitor, voluntary helper, or as a visitor to the show. 13. Any person wishing to make a complaint concerning an exhibit in the show must submit their complaint in writing, accompanied with a deposit of 1 to the Secretary before 3pm. If the complaint is upheld the deposit will be refunded. 14. Children may enter adult classes on payment of entry fees. 15. If you win a cup and wish it to be engraved, then you may do so at your own cost. The committee's decision is final on any matter not covered by the rules and as to their interpretation. 7

Recipe for Lemon Drizzle Cake 1½ large eggs 87.5g (3 oz) self-raising flour 87.5g (3 oz) caster sugar 87.5g (3 oz) softened butter 3/4 level tsp baking powder Finely grated zest of ½ lemon For the crunchy lemon icing: 50g (2 oz) granulated sugar Juice of ½ lemon Method: Preheat the oven to 180ºC/350ºF/Gas Mark 4. Beat together the eggs, flour, caster sugar, butter, baking powder and lemon zest until smooth in a large mixing bowl and turn into a 450g greased loaf tin. Bake in the pre-heated oven for about 35 mins, or until golden brown, shrinking away from the sides of the tin and springy to the touch. While the cake is still warm, make the lemon drizzle topping. Mix together the sugar and lemon juice, and pour over the warm cake. Leave to cool a little and loosen the sides of the cake, then lift the cake out of the tin. 18

22 Division 9, Young People You must be 17 or under on 5th September 2015 to enter these classes. If there are sufficient entries, the classes will be divided into age groups for judging. Please make sure your age is clearly displayed on your exhibit as this is an important part of the judging ENTRY IN THIS DIVISION IS FREE. 160 Fancy Dress.
