4 SATURDAY 3 RD NOVEMBER SHOWING CLASSES COMPLEAT HORSE BRIDLE NUMBERS ALLOWED Entry Fee R Per Class FOR THOSE THAT KNOW HOW TO Class 1 Compleat Horse/Pony Riders 80cm/90cm Phases 5 & 6 Show jumping and Free test to be ridden on Sunday 4 Th November (SEE RULES) (These classes are open to any competitor, horse/pony that has competed in such a class before) (Class 1 will follow Showing rules section 8 in its entirety. Please see below) RULES FOR COMPLEAT HORSE ADAPTED FOR THIS FUN SHOW COMPLEAT HORSE RULES FOR THOSE THAT KNOW HOW TO SHOWING RULE SECTION 58 COMPLEAT HORSE Test No Test Points 1 Conformation, soundness and turnout Utility test. (Get this on the day) 30 3 Ride by judge (omit in pony competitions) Dressage Test Pony Rider Novice 3 (2010) Adult & Jnr Novice 3 (2010) 30 5 Show Jumping (approximately 10 fences): fences): 80cm/90cm Jumping penalties (penalties to be subtracted from 15 points but with a minimum score of 0 A deduction of 2 points per fault incurred. Style of horse Free test (top 4-7 competitors given 2 minutes to show off horse to its best advantage). 30 The 30 points awarded to the free test should be made up of 10 marks for flatwork and schooling, 10 marks for jumping and/or utility and 10 marks for artistic merit. Note: The dressage and jumping tests should be set to suit the standard of the competition. The winner, who must compete in all tests, will be the horse with the highest overall score. Competitors eliminated in any one test will score 0 for that test, but are not eliminated from the competition. The number of competitors progressing to tests 4 and 5 may be restricted to 15, or 35% of the number of competitors which-ever is the greater. FOR NEWBIES Class 2 Compleat Horse/Pony Riders 50cm/60cm Phases 5 & 6 Show jumping and Free test to be ridden on Sunday 4 Th November (SEE RULES) (This class is for competitors and horses/ponies that want to have fun and learn what it is all about) (Class 2 will omit point 1 (conformation) and point 3 (ride by judge) in the Showing rules section 8. TOTAL Name Phone Number Address GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY: Entries will be accepted on a "first come, first served" basis, no restrictions on number of horses per rider, maximum 200 entries per arena per day. The organizers reserve the right to cancel and/or alter the program should they deem it necessary. Please note provincial discipline rules apply as far as possible keeping in mind the welfare of the horse as well as the rider. There might be slight tweaking s to rules to accommodate fun classes but this will in no way compromise the safety and security of the event. Discipline specific dress codes should be adhered to. Hard hats MUST be worn whenever mounted. Fourways Riding Centre and Fourways Equestrian Club, its employees or representatives, shall in no way be held responsible for any loss, damage, theft or injury sustained by horses, riders, appointed officials, the public or their property at the show, caused by, or resulting from this show. Refunds - 80% will be made if the show is cancelled. A R20.00 deduction per horse entered will be made on refunds if a cash deposit was made into our account to pay for entry fees. Under no circumstances will refunds be done after closing date of entries for any reason whatsoever. Please delete your entry off the SASJ or DSA system if you have entered in error before the closing date. The athlete undertakes NOT to bring any horse / pony to the event that has an infectious disease, whether notifiable or not, or which the athlete could reasonably be expected to know has an infectious disease or may spread same.
