2 This show is affiliated to the British Show Pony Society (BSPS) and all persons entering, competing, showing or otherwise taking part in BSPS classes, whether or not members of the BSPS are subject to the Constitution and Rules of the BSPS including the disciplinary and shall be deemed to have consented to the jurisdiction of the BSPS. The final will be held at the BSPS Summer Championship Show. Affiliation No This Show qualifies for the BSPS Challenge the highest placed pony in the Lead Rein of the Hunter Type, Leading Rein, First Ridden, Open Show Pony, Open Show Hunter Pony, Open Intermediate SRT and SH that has not qualified for the 2018 Horse of the Year Show in the appropriate class will qualify. This Show is a qualifier for the BSPS Best Rider of the Year. The Best Rider in the Lead Rein, First Ridden Open Show Pony, The Lead Rein of Hunter Type, Open SHP, Inter SRT and SH classes will receive a card and qualify for the final at the BSPS Summer Championship Show. This Show is a qualifier for the 2018 BSPS Championships Show to be held at Arena UK. The 1st and 2nd prize winners Open LR, FR, SP, NS and the 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd prize winners in Classes Open Intermediate SRT (including Mixed height), the 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd and 4 th prize winners in mixed height classes will qualify for the BSPS Championships provided the animal is registered in accordance with Rules 5 and 21 and ridden by a BSPS member. RULE 5. Exhibitors in qualifying positions, who have never been members of the BSPS are allowed 7 working days in which to become members and register their ponies. Please note this Rule does not apply to classes with HOYS, RIHS, Olympia or Blue Riband Qualifications. RULE 21. Owners, Riders and Ponies must be registered BEFORE the date of the Show at which they qualify, except in the case of exhibitors who have never been members before who are allowed 7 days in which to become members and register their ponies. This Rule does not apply to classes with RIHS or Olympia qualification. This Show is a qualifier for the BSPS Premier League the 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd, 4 th placed ponies in the Lead Rein, First Ridden, Lead Rein of Hunter Type, Intermediate SRT and SH classes and 1 st 4 th in mixed height open classes.

10 ENTRY FEES & PRIZE MONEY Entry Fee: Pre-entry - 8 per class or 10 per class on the day of the Show CASH ONLY ON THE DAY OF THE SHOW. Postal entries close: Tuesday 22 May 2018, NO ENTRIES WILL BE ACCEPTED WITHOUT PAYMENT. Prize Money:- 1st - 8, 2nd - 6, 3rd - 4. Rosettes to 6 th place. All prize monies must be collected from the Light Horse Secretary s office on the day of the Show ONLY Photographer Laura Meader will be on the showground all day taking pictures. 11 RULES & REGULATIONS 1 The Committee reserves the right to cancel or amalgamate and split classes if necessary. 2 Correctly secured riding hats/skull caps which are approved BSI standards MUST be worn when mounted. 3 Stallions/colts may not be led by any Junior who has not attained their 14 th birthday before 1 st January in the current year. 4 All animals must be sound. If in the opinion of the judge an animal is considered to be unsound it will be asked to leave the ring. 5 The judge may order that a horse or pony that constitutes a danger must leave the ring. 6 No person shall ill-treat animals at any time. 7 The JUDGES decision is FINAL. 8 No competitors shall enter under a Judge who has owned, sold or received financial gain from that horse/pony. 9 The Committee or any of its assistants are in no way responsible for any loss, damage or injury that may happen to exhibitors or their assistants, nor any member of the public or to any animal, vehicle brought onto the showground. 10 Objections must be made in writing with 10 to Secretary within ½ hour. The money will be returned if the objection is sustained. 11 Cups and trophies are perpetual and it is up to the competitor to ensure their safe return to the Light Horse Secretary 4 weeks prior to the next year s Show. Cups and trophies are to be engraved at the winner s own expense 12 Foul language or abusive behaviour will NOT be tolerated towards other people or animals and persons responsible will be asked to leave the Showground. 13 Competitors to take home any rubbish and no skipping out of lorries on the showground 14 Dogs MUST be kept on a lead at all times. Owners MUST clean up after their dogs. 15 First Aid cover will be available for the duration of the show. 16 No farrier will be available. 17 Acceptance of the foregoing provisions will be a condition of entry.
