The sport of Time Attack originated in Japan as a proving ground for streettuned cars built by highly respected tuning companies. With a quick rise in popularity, the event became well-known and tuner shops quickly started developing purpose-built time attack race cars. The simplicity of rules and a focus on lap times made Time Attack the quickest growing form of motorsport world-wide. Within a short period of time the Time Attack format has spread throughout the world, with the US, UK, New Zealand and Australia all hosting their own national events. In 2010, the international Time Attack scene stepped up once again with the first truly international event - the World Time Attack Challenge which pits the best time attack teams from around the world against each other at one race track. Since then the World Time Attack Challenge has been widely regarded as not only the biggest but the most influential event of its kind in the world. With unprecedented international media coverage it is acknowledged as the pinnacle of the sport by competitors, spectators, media and the exhibitors. But World Time Attack Challenge is so much more than just Time Attack. The 2-Day event comprises of: World Time Attack Challenge - the best in time attack teams compete for the ultimate prize in four classes: Pro, Pro Am, Open and Clubsprint. International Drift Challenge - Australia s best drifters take on their New Zealand counterparts and International drift stars. Top Speed Challenge - Big horsepower cars go head to head on the main straight. The highest top speed wins. Legends of the Turbo Era - A chance to see the mighty turbocharged cars that ruled the Australian racing circuits in the 1980s and 90s along with some rare exotics. The Legends hit the track for a race display at lunch time and have proven to be a big hit with the spectators. Show and Shine - No motorsport event is complete without a static car show and the World Time Attack Challenge is no different. On Saturday the skid pan fills up with over 300 of Australia s best show cars including club displays and the popular JDM Classic show. Add to this over 60 manufacturers, importers and tuning shops displaying their latest gear in the Trader Alley and you ve got one of the biggest events on the Australian motorsport calendar!

In 2012, WTAC raised the bar once again, with unprecedented media coverage, record attendance figures and a stream of track records. The event set the internet alight with reports, blogs and galleries spreading like wildfire through facebook, twitter, forums, newsfeeds and car clubs alike. With its ease of access and immediacy of content, the internet is an important promotional tool for the event, the competitors and exhibitors. WTAC is working closely with Speedhunters.com (USA), MotoIQ (USA), 7tune.com (JAP) and TheLowdown (AUS) to bring live updates from the event to the rest of the world. At WTAC, we understand our demographic. They re young, passionate, brand loyal and very adept at using all the latest technology. This is one of the reasons why we have cultivated a very strong relationship with all the major grassroots forums and car clubs. With the likes of JDM Style Tuning, The Octane Report, Downshift, CircuitClub, Hardtuned, EvoAus and Street-Cover on board, we are able to generate a huge amount of hype and publicity which, in turn, benefits not just the event itself but also all the exhibitors, race teams and sponsors. While we put a huge emphasis on our online content and advertising, we don t forget the mainstream media; last year s event was attended and covered by what we consider the cream of international motoring press. Over 100 media representatives from more than 10 countries covered the event for their publications. Among other these we had from Australia: Top Gear, Motor, Auto Action, Just Cars, Fast Fours, Australian Motorsport News, Fairfax Newspapers, Performance Imports, Street Commodores, Tarmac, Showoff, Zoom, Queensland Street Car. The South Circuit will give the International Drift Challenge its own track, pits and cater to the growing number of Drift spectators. Moving the event to October will give us a longer day and better weather which, in turn, will ensure an even greater spectator turnout. New rules and the addition of a new Pro Am class and a control tyre will provide a closer, more exciting racing experience. The Pit Zone exhibitor area was fully booked out more than 5 months before the event. Online traffic: Our official website, worldtimeattack.com has peaked at 130,519 unique visits during the event. During our pre-event campaign we send out monthly newsletters to over 10,000 subscribers. Daily updates are posted on our Facebook pages with 20,000 strong fan base. Our YouTube channel has over 1,000 subscribers and had in excess of 500,000 views since the 2011 event.

Valuable items can be stored overnight in the lock-up garage available on request. YOUR DISPLAY You will be guided to your allocated area by the WTAC staff. You must not extend your display past the allocated area. While there are no height restrictions within your display area, you have to be mindful of your neighbouring displays and avoid placing your flags/banners/displays in a way that might obstruct other exhibitors. Only display vehicles are to be parked on your display, all support vehicles have to be removed from the Pit Zone as soon as possible and parked in the Exhibitor Parking. TRADE STAND ALLOCATION The Pit Zone Grid Map is attached with this document. It will also available for download on under the Exhibitors Map menu. FOOD, DRINKS AND COUNTERFEITS Superlap Australia does not allow any counterfeit or parallel import products to be displayed or sold at their events. Restrictions also apply to the sale of food and beverages. PARKING There is no parking in the Pit Area. The only cars allowed in the Pit Area are display vehicles. All support and private vehicles must be parked in the designated Parking Areas. You must enter through Gate 7 where you will be directed to your Parking Area by the WTAC staff who will also issue you with a Parking Pass. Please refer to your Exhibitor Package details for the number of promotional models allowed. It is the responsibility of each trader to pay for the ticket entry of any promotional model or provide the models with entry tickets as included in the exhibitor package. WORLD TIME ATTACK CENTRAL If you have any questions, problems or need help during the event, please go to the WTAC Central located in front of the Radical Building, (see the Exhibitor Map). SIGNAGE Event Sponsors are allowed to place their own banners on the fence surrounding the track. For the number of allowed banners see the details of your Sponsor Package. Banners can be installed from Thursday 9am until 8pm. No banners are to be installed after 9am on Friday 18th. Maximum banner size allowed on the fence is 3m x 1m. There are no allocated banner spaces so get in early and claim your spot right away. There are however several restrictions: Pit Lane banner space is reserved for Naming Sponsors and Class Sponsors only. The fence around the Drift Circuit is reserved for the Drift Challenge Naming Sponsor. Within the Pit Zone signage is restricted to your trade stand.
