2 Aims and Scope Association of Radiology and Oncology and Co-chairs invite you to participate at the 4 th Conference on Experimental and Translational Oncology which will be held in Kranjska gora, Slovenia, March 22-26, The aim of the Conference is to promote the achievements of basic and clinical investigators on mechanisms of tumour development and progression and the introduction of new strategies for detection and treatment of cancer. Lectures, short oral presentations, selected from submitted abstract and poster presentations will cover five major Conference topics: Mechanisms of tumour progression Tumour markers Delivery systems in cancer therapy New drugs and therapeutic targets Immune response and cancer The Conference is an ideal place for gathering of young prospective scientists with established colleagues, to enforce the collaboration between academic and industrial institutions and to make new contacts between scientists from different European regions. Venue Hotel Lek 4280 Kranjska gora Slovenija The location of Hotel Lek is Kranjska gora, one of the most famous Slovenian ski resorts, near the border with Austria and Italy and only 60 km away from international airport Ljubljana Brnik. Another way to get to Kranjska gora is from international airport in Klagenfurt (Austria). For participants arriving to Ljubljana Airport the transfer to Kranjska gora will be organised. The nearest railway station is in Jesenice (25 km) or Tarvisio (Italy, 20 km). There are regular bus connections from Jesenice or Ljubljana. Kranjska gora is easily reachable also by car. Those, arriving via Italy or Austria take Udine Salzburg motorway exit Tarvisio East. Important Dates Registration & Abstract submission February 1, 2006 Registration fee payment February 15, 2006 Final Programme March 1, 2006 Call for Abstracts Participants are invited to submit abstracts for oral or poster presentations before February 1 st, Please, prepare your abstract on a single A4 page with all margins set to 3 cm and with Times Roman or similar font, font size 12. Abstracts should include: Title (bold, font size 14), Authors (presenting author underlined),

5 Affiliation of the authors, Abstract text. Abstracts should be sent by as attachment to the address of the Conference Secretary. Short oral presentations (15 min., including discussion), will be selected from submitted abstracts. Slide, overhead and LCD projectors will be available. Posters will be displayed all the time during the conference. Authors will be asked to present their posters during Poster Sessions on Thursday, March 23, and Friday, March 24, from to The maximum size of the poster is: 1m width by 1.50 m height. Registration For registration you should address to the Conference Secretary. Registration fee is SIT or 300 EUR (20% VAT included) and includes: - Entrance to the conference, Programme and Abstract book - Refreshment during breaks - Social events: Welcome reception, Conference dinner - Entrance to the swimming pools, sauna and casino - Certificate of attendance For accompanying persons the fee is SIT or 80 EUR and includes social events, entrance to the swimming pools, sauna and casino. One-day registration fee is SIT or 100 EUR and includes entrance to the conference, Programme and Abstract book and refreshment during breaks.
