Whipple Logandale, Nevada Saturday, April 5 th Monday, April 7 th 10:00-6:00 p.m. Alexander Library Conference Room 1755 W. Alexander Rd. N. Las Vegas, Nevada Friday, April 4th 12 noon 5:30 p.m We are unable to accept perishable foods, live plants or small animals at these locations and times. Perishable Entries may be brought directly to the Fairgrounds on Wednesday, April 9 th from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. ENTRY PICKUP AFTER THE FAIR WILL BE; Monday, April 14th 10:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m., at the Clark County Fairgrounds Fine Arts Building Wednesday, April 16th 1:00 p.m.- 6:30 p.m. at the Alexander Library 1755 W. Alexander Rd. North Las Vegas All Items that are not picked up at the Fine Arts Building will be taken to Alexander Las Vegas Library April 16 th.

2 GENERAL RULES ENTRIES 1. Competition in ALL divisions is open to all Clark, Lincoln and Nye County residents. 2. Please note the special regulations, dates and times for exhibit entry in each division. 3. Entries need to be brought directly to the Fairgrounds or other locations as specified 4. All other entries will be accepted on Saturday, April 5th or Monday April 7 th from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. 5. Perishable Foods entries will be accepted on Wednesday, April 9th from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. 6. Small Animal entries will be accepted on Wednesday, April 9th from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. 7. Horticulture entries will be accepted on Thursday, April 10th from 7:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. EXHIBITS 1. Exhibits must be the handiwork of the exhibitor. 2. All exhibits are entered and displayed at the risk of the owner. 3. The exhibitor is responsible for deciding on the proper class and lot per entry. 4. Exhibits may be disqualified if found soiled, damaged, or signs of excessive wear. 5. Any exhibit in questionable taste will not be accepted for public display. 6. Exhibitors must receive and retain a claim check for each entry. These claim checks must be presented to claim entry. 7. The exhibit hall will close at 10:00 p.m. daily and 8:00 p.m. on Sunday. 8. Exhibits cannot be removed before 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 14th. 9. Fair management will not be responsible for loss or damage but will use every reasonable precaution to protect entry. JUDGING AND AWARDS 1. Each entry will be judged on its own merit. 2. Best, Second Best and Third Best of Class Awards will be given to the top three entries in each class where possible. Champion and Reserve Champion Awards will be given in each section, and one (1) Best of Show in each division. 3. When there is a single entry in a class, the award will be made on merit alone. 4. Only Judges and Clerks may be present in the area while judging is taking place. 5. Judging and awards are not completed until the official opening of Fair. Please do not come in or call. AGE CATEGORIES ADULT 18 years or older, TEEN 7th Grade - 12th Grade, YOUTH 3rd Grade - 6th Grade, CHILD Kindergarten Grade 2nd Grade SKILL CATEGORIES P. Professional - Any person, regardless of age, who makes $ or more income from the sale of, and/or teaching skills of, and/or owns a shop which features the items which are presented for judging. ENTRIES WILL BE AWARDED RIBBONS ONLY. AM. Amateur - An amateur is anyone who is not considered a professional as defined above. Judging will be for ribbons and special awards. HD. Handicapped - Any person who by reason of physical or mental limitations, would be unfairly penalized if placed in competition with those of average abilities. 2

7 1. ALL NON-PERISHABLE FOODS (classes 33-34) must be received no later than 6:00 p.m. on Monday April 7th, at the Clark County Fairgrounds in Logandale, Nevada. 2. PERISHABLE FOODS (classes 35-42) will be accepted Wednesday April 9th, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and will be judged that evening at 5:00 p.m. All entries in canning jars shall consist of 2 jars, one to display and one for opening and judging. 3. All perishable foods must be displayed on / in a disposable container, covered with clear plastic wrap, or may be displayed on / in container of your choice but container must be clearly marked with your name. 4. 14 SMALL ANIMAL DIVISION Superintendent Kaluna Aki (702) TO GUARANTEE A CAGE PLEASE PRE-REGISTER BY APRIL 1 ST, Submit pre-registration forms to Clark County Fair, PO Box 143, Logandale, Nevada or fax to (702) After pre-registration, cages will be available on a first come first serve basis. Exhibitors must provide cages or viewable containers for rodents, caged birds, reptiles or fish. CHECK IN All pre-registered entries must be brought to the Fairgrounds Wednesday April 9 th between the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 6:00p.m. All exhibits must be officially checked in. CHECK OUT Removal of entries will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday April 13 th. Access to the Small Animal Pavilion will only be granted through gate 7 located on the East side of the fairgrounds. All entries must be removed by 9:00 p.m. Entries remaining after 9:00 p.m. will be the sole responsibility of the owner. Large animals will not be allowed to load out until after 9:00 p.m. GENERAL INFORMATION Exhibits will be inspected for health and soundness upon entry and periodically each day. Any animal showing signs of disease or illness during the fair will be removed immediately and the exhibitor notified. Exhibitor must provide any special feed required by exhibit. Water provided during the Fair will be medicated for coccidiosis. The Fair will not accept responsibility for damage or loss of an exhibit.
