1 Tools 4 School - Supply Prep and Backpack Stuffing Coordinator Dates: June - Aug 2015 Hours: 2-3 hours per month [semimonthly meeting Thursdays Noon - 1pm, 1-2 hour communication], Supply Prep Day Aug 10, 10-2pm. Description: This person will coordinate all the tasks involved with supply prep and backpack stuffing. Other volunteers will do many of the specific tasks such as moving supplies from IFCB to Eastridge. The coordinator will oversee the preparing of supplies and the stuffing of the back packs. They will reserve the rental truck by Aug 4 for use on Aug 10th (1 day) and Aug 22nd (2 days). The coordinator will contact Crossfit and schedule them to move the backpacks into the church storage location after filling and prior to distribution. Semimonthly meetings Thursdays Noon - 1pm are required to gain knowledge of program (May - August). Candidate will have support of the Tools 4 Schools Committee Members. Tools 4 School Community Backpack Donation Drive - Flyer Distribution Multiple s Dates: June Aug 2015 Hours: approximately 2-4 hours per month Description: This person will assist the Backpack Donation Coordinator in distributing information about the Tools 4 Schools Backpack drive to local business in the Issaquah area. 2 Tools 4 School - find donor for Technology Supplies Dates: May Aug 2015 Hours: approximately 2-3 hours per month [2-3 hour communication] Description: This person will write a letter to send to potential donors for the Technology Supplies for the backpacks. Candidate will identify and letter to possible donors. This year we are looking for USB drives or Scientific Calculators or Graphing Calculators. Semimonthly meetings Thursdays Noon - 1pm are optional but recommended to gain knowledge of program (May - August). The described tasks are all done via . Candidate will have support of the Tools 4 Schools Committee Members. Tools 4 School - Load Crates and Leftover Supplies and return to IFCB Dates: Aug 13, 2015 Morning Hours: approximately 1-2 hours, morning Description: This person will help load milk crates and leftover school supplies at Eastridge and unload at the IFCB storage facility
4 Tools 4 School - Backpack Pit Coordinator Hours: 9:30am - 3pm - can be a shared position and split into shifts Description: This person will help train and oversee volunteers passing out backpacks to students. Tools 4 School - Backpack Pit Volunteer Multiple s Hours: Two shift times available: 9:30am - 12:15pm and 12:00pm - 3:00pm Description: This person will pass out backpacks to students.
5 Tools 4 School - Volunteer Hairstylists Multiple s Hours: Two shift times available 9:50am - 12:30pm and 12:20-3pm Description: This person will be an experienced hair stylist and will give student haircuts. Wall mirrors and chairs will be provided. Stylists need to provide own supplies (i.e. cape, combs & disinfectant, spray bottle, scissors, razor with extension cord, etc.) Tools 4 School - Greeters Multiple s Hours: Two shift times available 9:30am - 12:15pm and 12:00-3pm Description: This person will be an stand at the entrance and answer questions of volunteers and visitors. Maps will be provided to the greeters and a brief walkthrough of facility at the start of the shift.
6 Tools 4 School - Volunteer/Vendor Floater Multiple s Hours: Two shift times available 9:30am - 12:15pm and 12:00-3pm Description: This person will check in with the different vendor and volunteer areas to see if they need any assistance. You may be asked to help with setup, find extra supplies or need to get a message to one of the coordinators. Tools 4 School - Load Extra Backpacks and Packs for Schools after event Hours: approximately 2-3 hours, afternoon Description: This person/s will pick-up the rental truck and help load the left over backpacks and the packs for delivery to the schools. Program Notes: Tools 4 School is a community sponsored and supported event that supplies over 1,200 backpacks with
7 Tools 4 School - Deliver Packs To Schools after event Dates: Aug 24, 2015 Hours: approximately 4-5 hours, during day Description: This group will drive the rental truck to all 24 schools in the Issaquah School District and unload the packs into the school office at each building. Leftover packs will be taking to the IFCB s Storage Area.
