2 21 st EUROCUP ITALY - PROSPECTUS The championship is open to the registered Member Federations / Associations of the European Carrom Confederation. All players must register through their federation. Individual entries cannot be accepted. Authority: The Eurocup will be organised by Federazione Italiana Carrom and Mezzocorona Carrom Dragons under the authority granted by the ECC Venue : Fondazione Edmund Mach di San Michele all'adige Events : 1. Open Doubles 2. Team Event 3. Swiss League Singles Rules: The Championship will be conducted in accordance with the current Laws of Carrom adopted by the ECC. Umpiring: Umpiring will be in English. Eligibility: Only players permanently resident in Europe may enter the Singles and Doubles. For Team Event full European citizenship is required. For more details on eligibility please contact organizers. Entry: In order to remain within the limit of approximately 120 players, we will be initially accepting 18 players from each affiliated country, 6 from non-affiliates and 25/30 from host country. Extra players can be registered as waiting list and will be accepted on a first come first served basis as soon as submissions are received. The Organizing Committee reserves the right to reject any entry without assigning any reason. Non-playing family and/or friends are welcome subject to availability of rooms. Due to the small size of venue small children will not be admitted in the playing rooms while the tournament is in progress. Game Format (provisional) SINGLE DOUBLE TEAM rounds 7-8 rounds Up to 8 teams all play each other minutes minutes 9 teams and over will be divided into 2 groups Final best of 3 games 8 boards for 1 st and 2 nd place only Final best of 1 game to 25 points no time limit for 1 st and 2 nd place only Point system 2 for victory 1 for draw. Direct victory wins over coin difference. Awards: shall be given to the teams / players securing the First, Second & Third positions in the championship. Awards will also be given for best woman player and best under 19. Equipment. Synco boards and coins will be used. Potato starch as supplied by German Carrom Association.

(Must be booked in advance 20 euros including round trip on cable car.) For extra days on the Monte including trip to Malga Kraun, Burrone Giovannelli, Bocce tournament and more carrom please enquire as hotel Ai Spiazzi will give us special rates but rooms are limited. 5 PRACTICAL INFORMATION Where we are map: TRAVEL: There are several choices of airport. The closest and most practical is Verona. From there a direct train will take you in one hour to Mezzocorona station where someone will come and pick you up provided you give us your travel details! BY CAR: Free parking is available at the venue. BY TRAIN: Mezzocorona/San Michele train station is on the Munich-Naples eurocity train route. PLACES OF INTEREST The nearest large towns are Trento (half hour south) and Bolzano or Bozen (half hour North). Both are worth a visit. Museums: Castle of the famous Council of Trent, Muse Science museum, MART modern art in Rovereto etc. We can recommend some good hiking routes and of course a stay on the Monte of Mezzocorona where Eurocups 2000 and 2005 were held.
