6 Maintenance and Service Keep the equipment clean by frequently flushing with fresh water. In crrsive atmspheres stainless parts may shw disclratin/brwn staining arund screw hles and rivets, this is nt serius and can be remved with a fine abrasive. Excess water shuld be remved frm the hull. Rpes, rigging and fittings shuld be checked at regular intervals fr wear and tear. All mving parts shuld be lightly lubricated t avid jamming, i.e., McLube, Dry Tefln r a dry silicne based spray. D nt use Oil. Inspect shackles, pins and fittings tape up t stp snagging, cming undne. When refastening screws d nt re use Nylck nuts mre than three times. Damaged r wrn parts shuld be replaced. Sails shuld be thrughly washed dwn with fresh water, dried and stred in a dry place. Trailers shuld be rinsed with fresh water and checked at regular intervals. It is recmmended that the trailer be serviced annually. Repairs t the plyethylene hull shuld be undertaken by peple with the relevant equipment and skills. Cntact Laser Centre fr advice. UV light will cause fading t sme cmpnents and fittings, a cver is recmmended t reduce the UV degradatin. D nt leave the rig under tensin when nt sailing r during strage. Yur Bahia shuld nly be used in cnjunctin with the Vag specific Perfrmance Sailcraft gunwale hung launching trlley. The use f any ther launching trlley may damage the hull and invalidate yur warranty. The hull shuld nt be left n a pebble beach, as the plyethylene culd dent. Care must be taken t supprt the hull adequately if string n racking r similar. Any sustained pint lading culd permanently dent r distrt the hull. 6

7 Sail Number Psitining It is advised t apply the sail numbers in a dry, clean and wind free envirnment. Standard and Sprt Sail 1. Lay the sail n a flat surface starbard side up. 2.
