The unit is especially suited fr measurement and cntrl in HVAC applicatins. The PA-65-x pressure transducers sense differential r gauge static) pressure and cnvert this pressure difference t a prprtinal electrical utput fr either field selectable unidirectinal r bidirectinal pressure ranges. The PA-65-x series is ffered with field selectable ranges and analg utputs f 0-5Vdc, 0-10Vdc, r 4-20mA. The measurement cell uses an advanced design f capacitive element t ensure excellent linearity and zer stability. The differential pressure t be measured induces a mvement f the stainless steel diaphragm which is cnverted t an electrnic utput signal by a capacitance measurement and a unique electrnic circuit. 3 Date f Issue: 06/01/2015 Page 3 f 5 Cnnectins: Antistatic precautins must be bserved when handling these sensrs. The PCB cntains circuitry that can be damaged by static discharge. 1. If the sensr is t be munted utside, it is recmmended that the unit be munted with the cable entry at the bttm. If the cable is fed frm abve then int the cable gland at the bttm, it is recmmended that a rain lp be placed in the cable befre entry int the sensr. 2. In a suitable lcatin, drill tw hles at 92mm and fix the husing with apprpriate screws. 3. Release the snap-fit lid by gently squeezing the lcking tab and feed the cable thrugh the waterprf gland & terminate the cres at the terminal blck see belw fr details). Leaving sme slack inside the unit, tighten the cable gland nt the cable t ensure water tightness. 4. Pwer the unit, depending utput signal type. a) 4-20mA; +EXC 13-30Vdc nly COM 4-20mA utput +OUT N cnnectin b) 0-5Vdc r 0-10Vdc; +EXC 13-30Vdc r 18-24Vac COM Cmmn 0V +OUT 0-5Vdc r 0-10Vdc utput ZERO / CONFIG +EXC COM +OUT 5. Select the pressure type, pressure range, utput type and respnse time, see page 4 fr detailed infrmatin. 6. Push the pressure tubing nt the pressure prts n the unit. Ensure that the Hi and L prts have been crrectly identified. 7. Snap shut the lid after the cnnectins have been made if IP65 prtectin is required, secure the lid with tw screws prvided. 8. It is recmmended that screened cable be used and that the screen shuld be earthed at the cntrller nly. Care shuld be taken nt t lay cntrl signal wiring in clse prximity t pwer r ther cables which may prduce significant electrmagnetic nise. CAUTION The PA-65x will be damaged if subjected t excessive pressure. D NOT test the unit by blwing int the inlet prts. Zer & Span Adjustment: Hlding the Zer /Cnfig buttn dwn fr 2 secnds will d a zer r span peratin depending n the differential pressure being at zer pressure r if the diff pressure is near full range pressure it will d a span adjust.
