Cntrl valve must be designed t be able t regulate maximal flw quantity at given perating cnditins. At the same time it is necessary t check whether minimal flw rate can be even regulated r nt. Cnditin is the fllwing rati r > Kvs/Kv Because f pssible minus tlerance 0% f Kv00 against Kvs and requirement fr pssible regulatin within range f maximal flw (decrement and increase f flw), prducer recmmends t select Kvs value higher than maximal perating Kv value: Kvs =..3 Kv It is necessary t take int accunt t which extent Qmax invlve "precautinary additins" that culd result in valve versizing. Cautin: T ensure reliable functin f three-way valves, the mst imprtant cnditin is t keep minimum available pressure difference between A and B prts. Three-way valves are capable t manage even high pressure difference between A and B prts but valve's flw characteristic defrmates then and s regulatin prperties deterirate. S if in dubt abut pressure difference value between thse tw prts (e.g. when three-way valve is piped directly int primary side withut pressure separatin), we recmmend t use a tw-way valve in cmbinatin with a primary-secndary side shrt cut t ensure a reliable regulatin. The authrity f A-AB way f three-way valve is, prviding a cnstant flw rate in appliance circuit, the fllwing: pvalve H00 4 a= = =, p 4 VALVE H0 which means that the behaviur f flw in A-AB way crrespnds t ideal flw curve f the valve. In that case there are Kvs values in bth prts the same with linear characteristic i.e. the ttal flw is nearly cnstant. A cmbinatin f equal-percentage characteristic in A prt and linear characteristic in B prt shall be selected in thse cases when lading f A prt with differential pressure against B prt cannt be avided r when the primary side parametres are t high. 5 COMAR line RV Cntrl valves DN 5-40, PN 6 Descriptin The valves series RV COMAR are cntrl valves f a cmpact cnstructin with external threaded cupling cnnectin. The valves excel with minimum dimensins and weight, quality cntrl functin and a high tightness in clsed psitin. Thanks t an unique LDMspline flw characteristic which has been ptimized fr thermdynamic prcesses cntrl, the valves are ideal fr applicatins in heating and aircnditining. In regard f a sphisticated design f internal parts and lng service life f packing, the valves fulfill every demand fr a lng-time service withut necessary maintenance. The valves are ptinally manufactured either tw-way r three-way. The part f the delivery is a screw jint enabling a quick and easy installatin t an appliance. Assembled with electrmechanic actuatrs, the valve can be cntrlled with 3-pint r cntinuus signal. The part f the delivery is als a hand wheel which can be used fr the valve cntrl untill assembling with an actuatr. Applicatin Used materials fr thrttling trim which cnsist f plug made f high-quality stainless steel and sft sealing elemnts, ensure a hermetic tightness in bth prts and enable the valves t be used nt nly in cmmn warm-water and ht-water regulatin circuits in heating but als in applicatins with special characteristic features f prcess medium such as in refrigerating industry and air-cnditining. Maximal permissible perating pressures in behaviur with prcess medium tempe-rature are mentined in table n page 4 f this catalgue. Prcess media The valves series RV are suitable fr applicatins where prcess medium is water r air. Further they can be used fr refrigerating media and ther nn-aggressive liquids r gases with temperature ranging frm +2 C t +50 C. The valves are nt applicable t cnditins with cavitatin. Sealing surfaces f cntrl trim are resistant t cmmn sludge r water impurities. Yet it is recmmended t pipe a strainer in frnt f valve t ensure a reliable functin and tightness in case there are abrasive particles present. Installatin The valves can be installed in any psitin except psitin when the actuatr is under the valve bdy. The flw directin is indicated n the valve bdy - inlet prts are indicated by letters Aand B, utlet prtab. 9 ANT 5 LDM electric actuatrs Descriptin Electrmechanical actuatrs ANT 5 are designed t cntrl the regulating valves LDM series RV COMAR line. Its cnnectin t the valve ensures a zer clearance between stem f the actuatr and the valve s the precise regulating ability is ensured even fr minimal psitin changes. The actuatrs are self-adaptive. The limit psitins are limited by the valve strke. T cmmunicate with a cntrl system, the actuatrs are equipped with either standard 3-psitin cntrl r direct cntrl (ptins: 0..0 V, 2..0 V, ma r ma). The versin marked S cntains electrnically cntrlled fail-safe functin that is activated by pwer supply failure at given terminal. In setting mde fr the actuatrs with direct cntrl, it is pssible t define a starting psitin in percentage f the strke value. The actuatr autmatically runs int that psitin when the fail-safe functin is induced. As a surce f energy fr the fail-safe functin, there are tw NiMH batteries which are cntinuusly charged when the actuatr is in peratin. All the types f ANT actuatr are equipped with hand wheel fr manual perating. Applicatin The actuatrs in cmbinatin with LDM valves are designed especially fr applicatins in heating, air-cnditining and refrigerating. There they can take advantage f cmbinatin f cntrl flw characteristic LDMspline ptimized fr heat transfer prcesses and precisin and reliability prvided by simple mechanic design. In sme applicatins, it is pssible t make use f its fail-safe functin which is induced in case f pwer supply failure and puts the valve t previusly defined psitin.
