Enter the event cde frm the fllwing table Event Cdes: The event cde is a 4-character cde. The first tw characters are the sessin number fr the game. The last tw characters are the letters shwing the type f game. Machine duplicatin des nt disqualify smene frm participating in this STaC. IT IS MANDITORY that the directr include his/her full name int the ACBLscr set-up fr the game. Hand Recrd Requirements: Hand recrds must be used t participate in the STaC. They are available as nted in the Key Infrmatin. When using hand recrds, the hands must be pre-duplicated prir t presentatin t yur players, r duplicated at the game by the players If pre-duplicated, the persn duplicating the bards may nt play in the event. If duplicated by the players at the game, the persn passing ut the hand recrds t each table may nt play in the event. As STaC week nears, the hands will be prvided in all frms fr the Club Owner.PDF,.BRI and.dup frm the ACBL website (see Key Infrmatin). 2

3 Club Owners that chse nt t use pre-duplicated hands will have their games placed int an individual side game and nt cmpared with the rest f the field. They will nt participate in verall awards. Club Owners need t be very careful when duplicating bards. If mre than tw fuled bards are fund in yur sectin, yur results will nt be included in the verall awards. Starting the Game: Sme recmmendatins fr using hand recrds: Duplicate yur bards ahead f time and yu can run any mvement yu chse Hwell r Mitchell. If yu use preduplicated bards, the chart belw des nt apply. When yur players duplicate the bards, play yur nrmal number f bards except when limited by the number f tables. If yu expect less than 5 tables, yu shuld pre-duplicate the bards ahead f time s that they can play the ptimum number f hands and ppnents. But remember that games with less than 5 tables will NOT be included in the STaC veralls. 4 Prerequisites: Hand recrds will be used Fr recmmendatins n using hand recrds, see the sectins Hand Recrd Requirements and Starting the Game. Hand recrds will be available at the ACBL website by the date listed in the Key Infrmatin fr Club Owners. Update yur database!! Yu must use a current ACBL database. T update the player database, visit the My ACBL sectin f the website and lk under Club Owner. Participating Club Rules: The ACBL General Cnventin Chart will be used. Cnventins and systems nt allwed by the General Cnventin Chart will nt be allwed. Nn-playing directr are encuraged but nt required fr games with n mre than ne sectin f 17 tables r less. Nn-playing directrs are required in games larger than 17 tables r with tw r mre sectins. Any club within the invited units may hld a STaC game in lieu f its regularly scheduled club game. Games must have at least 5 full tables. Open games f 4.5 tables r less will be placed int a separate STaC rated Open game Scring Infrmatin: The Overall Results will be determined by the percentage game fr each pair. There will be n scring acrss the field. Yur players will receive, at a minimum the Masterpints nted n the club s recap sheet. Please nte the Strata (1500+, , and all by average). Games that have different strata will be scred as thugh these strata were used. Invitatinal games will be scred and ranked as a stand-alne Sectinally rated Champinship event with ne restrictin. Yu may nt change an invitatinal (r limited) game t be an pen game if yu d nt nrmally hld an pen game fr that sessin. Limited masterpint games will be scred and ranked alne unless a like limited masterpint game is held at the same time at ne r mre ther STaC sites. In this case, these games will be scred tgether fr verall ranking and masterpint awards. Reprting Instructins: ACBLScr must be used!!! When reprting results, include yur club number, the sessin number (the first tw characters f the event cde), event cde and the sanctin number in the subject line f the t which yu attach the game file. Upn cmpletin f the game, select F11, then BA t back-up the game file t a flash drive. This file name shuld end in - -.ACM,.ACA, r.ace. Attach this file t an and send it t the DIC (key infrmatin at the beginning f this dcument). DO NOT send any file that ends in LZH, TXT, r HTML The final reprting perid fr the STaC ends 12 hurs after the last event ends. Late reprts will be returned t the club t be reprted as a regularly scheduled club game. 4

5 The crrectin perid fr each game is 24 hurs after cmpletin f the sessin. Each club must pst a cpy f the recap fr inspectin at the end f each sessin. Each club must its results t the DIC within 24 hurs after cmpletin f the game. Club games nt reprted within the time limit will be scred, ranked, and issued masterpints as a Sectinally rated, single sessin side game and will nt be included in the Overall Awards. Please address questins fr reprting t the DIC. Frequently Asked Questins Hw many Master Pints will I win? Like at a turnament, yu will win the better f the Master pint awards frm either the sectin result r the verall result. They are nt additive. Yu will win at least the number f master pints listed n the recap sheet at the club. Will the Master Pints wn by a player change? Why is my game recrded as a side game and nt included in the verall results? My club "shuffled, dealt, and played." Des this affect my master pint winnings? I see that several clubs ran a Swiss Team event. Were my Swiss Team results cmpared t the thers? The directr at my club played in the event. Is this allwed? Fr example: If yu wn 1 MP fr placing 3rd in yur strat, but placed 10th verall fr 0.5 MP, then yu will win 1 MP fr placing 3rd (nt 1.5 MPs) Pssibly. Yu will always win the number f master pints listed n the recap sheet at the club. Hwever, if yu place high in the veralls, yu are likely t win mre pints Many factrs culd place yu int a separate side game: Thrugh n fault f yurs, there may have been a number f fuled bards that require the Directr in Charge t place yur sectin int its wn event. The club wner may have reprted the results t late fr inclusin in the veralls. Yes. Yur sectin will be scred separately as a stand alne side game. All Swiss Team events are entered int their wn single sessin, Sectinally rated side game. The master pints will be thse shwn n the recap sheet at yur club. The directr playing is discuraged but nt disallwed. The directr must NOT be invlved in the duplicatin f the bards prir t play. This wuld mean either when using a duplicating machine r when single hand recrds are distributed fr players t duplicate the bards. Shuld either f these ccur, the directr may play but neither the directr nr their partner are eligible t win any master pints. 5
