Belw yu can find the prper prcedures t fllw during Emergency and nn-emergency injuries: 1. What happened? If an assciate sees the accident happen t their cwrker. It makes things easier since they knw what ccurred. They knw what the hazard is and maybe what even caused the accident and injury. The assciate knws when the victim was injured and can reprt it immediately. Hwever, there are times when a wrker finds smene lying injured. The injured persn culd be uncnscius r nt. There may be multiple signs f injury r there may be n apparent signs f injury. In either situatin, d nt rush in and attempt t save the victim. 2. Call fr assistance It s very imprtant t prvide accurate and detailed infrmatin when reprting the accident. The fllwing shuld be prvided: Exact lcatin and address; What the injured persn is ding r nt ding: uncnscius, chking, vmiting, nt breathing, shivering, sweating; Any injuries that yu see: sft tissue wunds, brken bnes, burns; and Hw the accident happened (if they knw). 3. Survey the area Survey the area t determine if any hazards still exist. Lk arund the area. t determine if it is safe fr thers t enter. If it is nt, d nt enter r allw thers t enter the area unless they are prepared fr the hazards; fr bystanders wh can help and explain what happened; fr the number f victims. 4. N danger Never mve the victim unless there is immediate lifethreatening danger (fire, falling debris, building r flr cllapse). Wrkers must nt attempt t perfrm CPR r any ther life-saving techniques unless they have had the prper training! 5. Emergency help arrives
