14 GENERAL INFORMATION REGISTRATION Instad of picking up your participant pack on Saturday you can altrnativly rgistr and pick it up on Friday th 24th of August from 2pm-7pm. Howvr if you rgistr on Friday plas not you will nd to writ your own rac numbr on your hand bfor you ntr th vnt on Saturday. Th rgistration tnt is placd on th squar nxt to th Tøjhusmust on th othr si of Christians Brygg. At rgistration you will rciv your participant pack with a swim cap and a timing chip. If you hav signd up for a t-shirt you will also rciv this. Additionally if you hav pr-orrd food for aftr th vnt, thr will b a food vouchr in th nvlop. las go to th swimming ara 15 minuts bfor your xpctd start tim. From hr you will b guid to th start lin. TIMING Th finish lin and timing happns whn you rach th pontoon at th nd of th cours. W thrfor rcommnd that all participants mov as quickly and safly as possibl whn coming up th stairs and tak xtrm car whn doing so. las also tak car of ach othr to nsur that no on gts hurt. Whn you hav rachd th pontoon you must mov quickly across th pontoon and continu to th participation ara. Hr you will rciv your mdal and you shall tak off your timing chip. Aftr this you will thn rciv watr and fruit. You hav to war th timing chip around your wrist or your ankl and it is ssntial that you mak sur th chip cannot fall off. In addition, plas writ your starting numbr on your hand. CHANGING ROOMS AND STORAGE OF YOUR BELONGINGS Thr will b Changing Tnts availabl in th ara bhind th Rgistration Tnt. WETSUIT Whil it is not compulsory to war a wtsuit, Th Danish Swimming Fration rcommnds and ncourags that all participants do so. A wtsuit nsurs that you will not b unncssarily coold down during th swim and it will also aid your buoyancy. Both of which hlps nsurs your safty and njoymnt of this vnt. HEAT START 15 minuts bfor xpctd start, plas go to th swimmrs ara, from whr you will b guid to th start ara. For th Krügr Rlay it also applis: Th first swimmr of th tam should go to th swimmrs ara 15 minuts bfor start, from whr h or sh will b guid to th start ara. Th othr participants of th tam should go to th othr changing placs in nough tim bfor th start of th Krügr Rlay. S th changing placs on th map pag 8. This bautiful and truly iconic swim cours is 2km long around Christiansborg (th Danish arliamnt). It is in opn watr and th city canals and passs many famous Danish buildings. Each swimmr in your tam will swim 500m. Th first swimmr will start by Dn Sort Diamant (Th Black Diamond) and will swim towards Nationalbankn, whr th scond swimmr will b waiting. Th scond swimmr will thn swim to Gamml Strand whr th third swimmr will thn bgin. Th last swimmr will start around half way through Frriksholm Canal and will thn swim to th finish lin by Dn Sort Diamant (Th Black Diamond). Each sction is approximatly 500m long. Thr will b a floating barg in th harbour to protct th swimmrs from ships and any othr vssls. Th finish lin will b at a floating pontoon. Tam mmbrs must carry and pass on to fllow tam mmbrs a baton (a rubbr wristband) during th swim. It is th rsponsibility of ach tam mmbr to pass this on whn thy tag ach nw swimmr. Evry tam must nsur thy bring this baton (rubbr wristband to th finish lin.) 15

16 COURSE AND SAFETY Lifguards ar prsnt all along th cours, and you can gt in touch with thm by waving your on arm. If you ar in distrss, you can signal by waving with both arms strtchd abov th had. Additionally th bst scurity on cours is also provid whn all swimmrs watch out for ach othr. las b mindful of othr swimmrs and if you should s somon who nds assistanc and who is unabl to signal to a lifguard, thn plas do so on thir bhalf. If th lifguards bliv that it is not saf to lt you swim any furthr, you will b withdrawn from th rac. If for som rason you stop in th middl of th rac, it is vry important that you contact th narst lifguard / official who can rport your withdrawal to th managmnt of th rac. MEDALS FOR ALL WHO FINISH THE RACE Onc you hav crossd th finish lin on land you will rciv your Copnhagn Swim mdal for complting th rac. This mdal is a bronz mdal. If you ar swimming for th fourth, fifth or sixth tim at Copnhagn Swim thn you will rciv a silvr mdal. And finally, if it s th svnth tim or mor that you hav compltd th Copnhagn Swim you will rciv a gold mdal. 16
