As a committee, we are totally invested in improving the club, in terms of facilities, how we operate, what we offer to members and how we can continue to grow our membership base. For you, our members, we now enter into a new and very exciting time. Our new head coaches, John Hampson and Andrew Wright, together with their assistant coaches, are here for everyone, not just the juniors. They have programs to suit everyone. We trust you were very impressed by your first meeting with John and Andrew at the Coaches Meet & Greet BBQ & we wish them much future success as they embark on aiding the growth & development of our club. 1

All teams were competitive and showed great improvement. A special mention to our section 3 girls to keep smiling! This team could have had a much different result if 5 loses they had by less than 3 games had gone the other way. Grand Finals were on Saturday 25 th June. A great effort was displayed by all teams, with 2 winners & 2 runner s ups. Our section 15 girls went down by only 1 game! The Spring 2011 season commences on the Saturday July Team grading s will be known shortly. The Spring season will be the last junior season for Ben Walsh, Jordan Colombo, Michael Doumtsis, Yanie Drysdale, Tayla Burn & Lysiarne Bryant, whom all age out. Hopefully we will see you all move on to play senior tennis for the club in

7 t r e a s u r e r s r e p o r t The club has contributed $5,770 to the City of Darebin towards the resurfacing of courts 3 & 4 with Rebound Ace. The total cost of resurfacing courts 3 & 4 was $90,000. Membership fees 2011/2012; Prompt payment will be requested to entitle members to play in the Club Championships 2011 which will be held in September this year. Entrants MUST be financial members only. At current our membership total is 112. h e a d c o a c h e s m e e t & g r e e t r e v i e w Sunday June the club put on a BBQ for everyone to come along and meet our new Head Coaches, John Hampson and Andrew Wright and some of their assistants. It was a great day and very well attended. It is fair to say, everyone in attendance, both parents and players, were all extremely impressed with the quality of the coaches, together with their style and techniques. The coaches start at our club at the beginning of term 3. If you have not already done so, please contact John or Andrew to book your lesson day and time.
