Meet the Coaches Head Coach Adam Spring Adam Spring begins his second season as Rhode Island College's head women's tennis coach.

The Anchorwomen qualified for the Little East Conference Tournament for the first time since 2009.

During his tenure, he has accumulated over 55 wins and eight top-three finishes in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference. He was named the GNAC s Coach of the Year in 2012 and 2008.

3 Meet the Coaches Head Coach Adam Spring Adam Spring begins his second season as Rhode Island College's head women's tennis coach. In his first season at the helm in 2012, Spring guided the Anchorwomen to a 4-10 overall record and a 4-4 (fifth place) mark in the Little East Conference. The Anchorwomen qualified for the Little East Conference Tournament for the first time since Spring is also the head men s tennis coach at Johnson & Wales and recently completed his 11th year guiding the Wildcats. During his tenure, he has accumulated over 55 wins and eight top-three finishes in the Great Northeast Athletic Conference. He was named the GNAC s Coach of the Year in 2012 and Spring led the Wildcats to the GNAC Championship in 2008, while falling in the championship match in He has been teaching and coaching tennis in Rhode Island since 1991, serving both as a head and an assistant coach. Spring was the head girls tennis coach at Smithfield High School for 14 seasons from He guided the Sentinels to the Rhode Island Div. II Championship three times (2012, 11, 10), while capturing the Div. III title twice (2007, 06). Spring also coached at Chariho High School from , starting the Chargers first girls program and serving as an assistant coach for the boys squad. In addition to his coaching duties, Spring enters his 17th year as a teacher at Smithfield High School. He earned a bachelor s degree in business administration from the University of Rhode Island in Spring earned his master s degree in teaching from Johnson & Wales in He resides in Charlestown, Rhode Island. 3

Meet the Coaches Assistant Coach Devin Kitterick Devin Kitterick enters his second season as the assistant women s tennis coach at Rhode Island College.

Over the past eight years, I've either played for or coached with Adam, Kitterick said. I am excited to bring our love and knowledge for tennis over to Rhode Island College's athletic department.

I have known Devin as his coach and now as a colleague, Spring said. He brings a wealth of tennis skill and knowledge to our RIC women's team and I'm excited to work with him again this season.

4 Meet the Coaches Assistant Coach Devin Kitterick Devin Kitterick enters his second season as the assistant women s tennis coach at Rhode Island College. He assists Head Coach Adam Spring with all facets of the RIC women s tennis program including recruiting, scouting, administering practice and meet coaching. Over the past eight years, I've either played for or coached with Adam, Kitterick said. I am excited to bring our love and knowledge for tennis over to Rhode Island College's athletic department. We have a great group of young women and look forward to representing RIC well in the Little East Conference. Kitterick spent two seasons as an assistant coach with Spring at Johnson & Wales. I have known Devin as his coach and now as a colleague, Spring said. He brings a wealth of tennis skill and knowledge to our RIC women's team and I'm excited to work with him again this season. He began his tennis career playing four seasons as a varsity starter at Bridgewater-Raynham High School before attending Johnson & Wales. As a Wildcat, Kitterick started for four campaigns, completing his career at No. 1 singles and doubles. He was twice named All-Great Northeast Athletic Conference and was part of JWU s 2008 GNAC Championship Team. He earned a bachelor s degree in accounting from Johnson & Wales in He also earned his MBA in global business leadership and financial services from JWU in Kitterick resides in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. 4
