3 Meet the Coaches Head Coach Craig Letourneau Craig Letourneau enters his fifth season as Rhode Island College s head women s volleyball coach. He is also an assistant women s basketball coach at RIC. Letourneau led RIC to a overall record and a 4-3 mark in the Little East Conference in The club's 22 wins were the most in a season since the 1986 squad went The Anchorwomen also established new program records for kills, assists, aces and digs in a season. RIC captured its first-ever Little East Regular Season Championship as it finished the regular season with a 5-2 LEC mark in The Anchorwomen concluded the campaign with an overall record of RIC was overall and 4-3 (fourth place) in the Little East in The Anchorwomen also won in the first round of the LEC Tournament for the first time since 98, defeating Eastern Connecticut, 3-1. Letourneau guided the Anchorwomen to a overall record, a 3-4 (fifth place) finish in the Little East and a berth in the LEC s post-season tournament during his first season at the helm in He had been the head boys and girls volleyball coach at Mt. St. Charles Academy in Woonsocket since He also serves as the head girls basketball coach at Lincoln High School, a position he has held since 1998 as well. In 2001, Letourneau was named the Rhode Island Division II North Girls Volleyball Coach of the Year and Boys Volleyball Coach of the Year. In 2000, he guided the Mt. St. Charles boys team to an undefeated season and the Division II Championship. In 2000, he was the Woonsocket Call s Girls Volleyball Coach of the Year and was the Rhode Island Division II Girls Basketball Coach of the Year. In 1999, Letourneau was the Rhode Island Division II North Girls Volleyball Coach of the Year and was the Woonsocket Call s Girls Volleyball Coach of the Year. He earned a bachelor s degree in psychology from Rhode Island College in Letourneau resides in Danielson, Connecticut with his wife Julie and son Cameron (1). Assistant Coach Holly Grennan Holly Grennan enters her second year as the assistant women's volleyball coach at Rhode Island College. She assists Head Coach Craig Letourneau with all phases of the RIC women s volleyball program including recruiting, scouting, administering practices and match coaching. She was previously an assistant coach with the Coventry High School women s volleyball team from Grennan is a 1999 graduate of Toll Gate High School in Warwick, Rhode Island where she was a four-year letterwinner in volleyball. As an outside hitter, she was named the Top Player in Rhode Island during her senior year. Grennan was also named First Team All-State, All-City, All-Division and to the Rhode Island All-Tournament Team that same campaign. She earned a bachelor s degree in physical education and health from the University of Rhode Island in In addition to her coaching duties, Grennan is a physical education/health teacher in Narragansett, Rhode Island. She is resides in Warwick, Rhode Island with her husband Mike. 44
