Some people think that since Marijuana is a natural plant, there are no harmful risks in using it. This is FALSE! Marijuana has short and long term negative effects on the brain and can cause things such as memory loss, learning difficulties, mental health issues like depression, anxiety, and temporary paranoia and hallucinations. The dangerous chemical in marijuana is called THC. While it s true that scientific research has proven that medical marijuana can ease painful side effects of cancer, under a doctor s care and prescription, it has not been proven to actually cure it.
