Welcome to The Fog Lane Cup, not actually at Fog Lane, Fog Lane is just where Chevron has historically trained in Manchester. I hope you have an enjoyable and competitive weekend. I will be the TD and I am contactable on the number and below if you have any queries prior to the event, or on the day. It is really important you pass on to your team the information regarding Rubbish, Use of Toilets and Parking. The only thing you as captains need to do is to ensure that every player on your team is a registered member of UKU (so you can provide me with a team roster). 3 Accidents and Emergencies There will be a Physio to provide medical and first-aid support on site throughout the weekend. If you require help, please contact the TDs Should you require a hospital, the nearest A&E department is 2.8 miles away at the Leicester Royal Infirmary LE1 5WW. Printed maps will be available from the TD Desk should you require one. Water/ICE and Water Water will be available to fill up at the changing rooms, but only from mains tap, the water in the changing rooms is from a tank. There will also be water & ice available at the TD desk, along with sandwich bags. Rubbish Please pick up your rubbish when you finish a game. If you can t identify your rubbish amongst that of your team-mates or opponents why not just pick up some of it and put that in a bin. Each team will be given a bin bag. Thanks! Score reporting Please designate one person on your team to be responsible for reporting the match result and completing your spirit scores. Toilets Please do not urinate in the park, it is a public park and we have changing rooms with toilets in PLEASE USE THEM. Parking Please make sure you park responsibly, do not block drive ways or park near corners as it is a residential area. Pool A & C will play each other, B & D play each other. The winners of each group qualify for the quarter finals along with the next 4 teams with the most points. Seeding is based on pool points (or as follows Games won, Win Bonus, head to head, point s difference). The bottom 8 play two further matches in a bracket 9-12 and 13-16, HOWEVER the point of the tournament is to play new teams so if you want to get together and organise who plays each other that is fine, there are no tour points on offer, I want every team to get the most out of the games. The same is true for the 5-8 bracket after quarter finals, if you want to mix up who you play that is fine. Tournament rules WFDF Game slots are 80mins long. The games are 70mins long. Games are to 15, half at 8. (1-point cap, to be played if the teams are within 3 points once the point on the hooter has been scored ie if its and the hooter goes, finish the point, if its game over, if its game to 14). 1 Time out per team (not to be taken in last 5mins, this is to prevent over run in game slots) Half time 2mins Max! During Pool play teams get 3 points for a win 1 point for a Winning Bonus or a Losing Bonus. Winning Bonus if you win by 5 or more points (e.g ) Losing Bonus if you are within 2 points (e.g ).
