1 Sports Hall Athletics Year 8 Round One PE News Terms 3&4 Our Year 8 teams put in a great performance in the first round of the sports hall athletics this year. The girls team finished in 2 nd place, narrowly missing out on the final by 3 points. The boys team finished in 1 st place and will represent Enfield at the Finals in February. Shout Outs: Well done to all of the boys selected at the trials. Emmanuella for best sprinting performance and Nene for great tenacity in the speed bounce event.

2 PE News Sports Hall Athletics Year 7 Round One Our Year 7 teams performed with excellent courage and tenacity at their first sports hall athletics event. The girls team finished in 3 rd place and gave 100% effort and determination throughout the event. The boys team finished in 1 st place and will represent Enfield at the Finals in February. Shout Outs: Nathan for best sprinting technique and speed. Emre O for a great performance in shot put and great courage in the relay event. Jaida for representing the team in 3 events and putting in an excellent performance in all of them. Sabrina for excellent courage in the 6 lap race.

Both teams finished in 4 th place in their respective competitions.

3 PE News Sports Hall Athletics Year 7&8 Boys Semi-Finals Our Year 7 and 8 boys athletics teams both qualified for the London Youth Games semi-finals and represented the borough of Enfield at the competition in Harrow. Both teams finished in 4 th place in their respective competitions. Shout Outs: Kieron for showing excellent courage in the 4 lap race. Abdul for high aspirations in the triple jump. Nathan for excellent tenacity in the 4 lap races.

The girls team finished in 3 rd place. The boys team finished in 4 th place.

4 PE News Year 10 Volleyball Competition This is the first year we have entered volleyball teams into the KS4 borough event. Both our teams performed with great courage and tenacity throughout the competition. The girls team finished in 3 rd place. The boys team finished in 4 th place. Year 9&10 Boys Basketball ARK Basketball Tournament (KS4) In February our elite basketball players attended a KS4 competition at Evelyn Grace Academy in Brixton.

12 Year 9&10 Boys Basketball ARK Basketball Tournament (KS4) In February our elite basketball players attended a KS4 competition at Evelyn Grace Academy in Brixton. Despite playing against older competition the boys put in a great performance and reached the semifinals stage, before being defeated by the eventual winners of the whole tournament. 13 Year 10 Sports Leaders Sport Activator Event Some Year 10 pupils were selected from the Sports Leader enrichment pathway to attend a young leaders event alongside pupils from other Enfield schools. This took place at Tottenham Hotspur Training Grounds. Well done to Hannah, Agathe, Joe, Tyrell and Justice for being selected for this event.

14 Basketball Level One Refereeing Course 20 of our year 9 and 10 basketball players recently undertook their basketball officiating award and all pupils passed this 4 hour basketball course. 16 Lee Valley Athletics Indoor Cup WINNERS! Our Year 7 Boys claimed 1 st place at the Lee Valley Outdoor Cup. This is a huge achievement as 150 schools entered this tournament from across London and Essex and our team performed to an extremely high standard to be able to get this win. Shout Out: Nathan for winning his 200m and coming 2 nd in the high jump competition. Tyrell attended as assistant coach and helped to officiate the events.
