1 November 28, 2014 Bouchie Lake Elementary Winter Holiday Newsletter Scrapbook Weekend Scrapbooking weekend was a huge success! About 32 Scrabookers attended the weekend with all the proceeds going to Bouchie Lake PAC on behalf of Bouchie Lake Students! BIG thanks to Mrs. Rutledge and her family for organizing the event! Purdy s Chocolate Fundraiser Purdy s Chocolate Fundraiser BIG thanks to the PAC once again (Heather Lefebvre and Tarin Lefebvre) for organizing another successful fundraiser benefiting the Bouchie Lake Students! Christmas Basket Raffle This year the Bouchie Lake PAC will continue the tradition of the Christmas Basket Raffles at the Christmas Concert on December 18, The proceeds of the Raffle are used to help pay for bussing costs for fieldtrips. The classes have chosen their themes and are as follows: Ms. Rokoss Coffee and Tea Mr. Ottenbreit Chocolate Basket Ms. Hutchinson Baking Basket Ms. Campbell Movie Night Basket Ms. Hay Family Games Night Basket Ms. Fyles Pet Basket The hope is that students donate 1 or 2 items for their classroom basket. We understand that Christmas is a very busy and expensive time and we want to emphasize this is a donation by choice. Please have all donation items to the school by Monday Morning, December 15 th. Tickets for the raffle baskets will be $1 each and can be purchased from students (books of tickets will be sent home with each student). Tickets will be on sale starting December 1, 2014 and at the Christmas Concert on December 18, Winning tickets will be drawn at the end of the concert. Grade 6/7 EDUCO Fundraiser The grade 6/7 students will be selling chocolate covered pretzel rods at lunch for two weeks starting Tuesday December 2. All proceeds will go towards the Grade 6/7 EDUCO Trip in 2015.
2 Christmas Performance The Christmas performance dress rehearsal will be December 17 at 1pm. Parents are welcome to attend but are reminded that it is a dress rehearsal and may be continually stopped and started and may therefore take longer than the actual performance. The Christmas Concert will be December 18 at1pm to 2:00 all welcome and we look forward to seeing you! Dress for the Weather The weather has changed out here at Bouchie Lake! We have noticed that a few students are not dressed to fit the weather. Warm coats are a must this time of year as are scarfs, hats, gloves, boots etc. Book Fair Success! Book Fair was a huge success! Thank you to all parents and families who supported this great event. Commission credit from the Book Fair totaled over $1800 in new books and resources that will be in our classrooms this year. A BIG thanks to PAC (Delaine Neville) for organizing this event!
