See info below about the Truck Raffle! Parents and Guardians: We would like to remind you to apply for the Good Shepherd and Guardian Angel scholarships that are available. In order to get either of these scholarships, you must fill out the application. The absolute deadline is March 31. No exceptions. Those of you there were a great help. Thanks. The Sacred Heart Spring Book Fair will be held March 25-29, A dinosaur theme is the choice this year from Scholastic. STOMP, CHOMP & READ! Mrs. Simon The book fair is quickly approaching. If you re in need of a book, please check one out within the next couple of days as the metal cases for the book fair will be set up soon. 2 Don't miss out on the fun - The Sacred Heart Booster Club Dinner and Auction is Saturday, March 30, 2019 at the RAC. Dinner reservations are due in the school office this Friday, March 15, stop by the school office if you need a dinner reservation form. Don t miss out on a chance of winning the 2018 Chevrolet Colorado 4x4 Crew Cab Truck or cash if your ticket is one of the 10 finalist tickets drawn at the Booster Auction, you do not have to be present to win. Please sell your allotted tickets and return the ticket stubs and money to the school office by Friday, March 22, Proceeds from this raffle will help all five Catholic parishes as well as Sacred Heart School. Order forms for girls basketball team pictures from the state tournament are hanging in Mrs. O Grady s office. In order to receive the discount of $15 per picture, ten or more prints of each picture must be ordered. If fewer than ten prints are ordered, then the price is $20 per picture. Junior High basketball girls need to have their uniforms turned into Coach Ebel by this Friday. HS Boys basketball boys please turn in your uniforms and warmups ASAP. Uniforms should be on plastic hangers inside the garment back. Also turn in your warmup shirt and pants. The Sacred Heart Daycare and Learning Center is in need of a set of "gently used"\or new pots and pans and some boxes of Kleenex tissues, please contact Lana at the Daycare ( ) if you would be willing to donate to them. Thank you! 7-12 Helping Hands: There are two areas that you will be needed in the next few weeks. First, we have been asked to help with Briana Scholl/Derik Lape s wedding reception on March 23 at Prichard Auditorium. We will need to light candles, put on some lights and clean off tables after people eat and take out the trash. The couple has invited you to eat after the work is done. Ahren Ebel is in charge of getting people to help with this. Please talk to Ahren or myself if you can help. Also, on March 27 we are hosting the Mudecas quiz bowl. I will need help working the concession stand (2 hour shifts) and I need a few students that would keep score in the classrooms during the pool play part of the day (from 10:00 to about 1:00). If you can help with either of these two events or both, please come talk to me. Thank you. Mrs. K The Sacred Heart Student Council would like to invite each classroom to take part in the March #causekindness by collecting loose change and placing in the baby bottles located in every classroom. The money will be collected throughout Lent and will be donated to St. Gianna s House and Project Response. St. Gianna s Women s House of Lincoln assist women and their families fleeing domestic violence or who are being coerced into having an abortion. Project Response is a local non-profit crisis center that assists the Falls City and surrounding areas with support and advocacy to victims of domestic violence and related issues. Thank You Stuco-- Juniors and Seniors: A representative from UNL will be here Wednesday March 20 th at 11:00am. Please sign up by the water fountain to get a sheet to sign out of your class to see the rep. All Prom SH Goers: Since some of the people that are going to attend Sacred Heart s prom may decide to start shopping for the event this weekend or next weekend while in Lincoln for the basketball games, please remember to take a look at the school s dress code policy for school dances. The policy is printed on page 8 of the school s handbook which is located on the fcsacredheart.org school website. Also, it is the responsibility of the young men who are asking out of school dates to share this information with their dates, since they are also expected to follow the dress code of Sacred Heart. Please remember that girls need to wear a cape or shawl over their shoulders while attending Mass. Our Recycling Renegades - Macy Keller, DeLanie Witt, London Nachtigal, and Zach Kafer. Thanks!
