3 MEL S WEEKLY NEWSLETTER Issue 9 3 RED KETTLE BELL RINGERS NEEDED!! The Red Kettle Campaign, along with the Angel Tree Program, is one of the most recognizable Christmas efforts of The Salvation Army. Since the campaign s creation, the Salvation Army now provides assistance to more than four-and-a-half million people in the U.S. during Thanksgiving and Christmas. The Red Kettle campaign has also spread to other parts of the world, including Korea, Japan, Chile and many European countries. This year, the need is greater than ever. We will be working with the Toys for Tots program as they transition their families into our Angel Tree program, doubling the number of children and seniors we serve during the holidays.
