1 OMAHA STORM CHASERS BASEBALL CLUB OFFICIAL GAME INFORMATION OMAHA STORM CHASERS 53-44, 2nd American Northern LHP Brandon Finnegan 0-2, 9.00 ERA (2 PCL Starts in 2015) LAST NIGHT S SWEEP: The Storm Chasers notched a pair of comeback wins in a doubleheader sweep of the Dodgers, their third doubleheader sweep at home this season (7-1 overall in twin bill games at Werner Park) and second sweep of Oklahoma City at home in Micah Gibbs provided the walk-off single in the first game of the day for his first career hit at the Triple-A level as Omaha erased a late 4-3 deficit. In Game 2, Yohan Pino allowed four runs in the first but none in the final six as the Omaha offense put together nine runs in the first three innings. Pino struck out ten batters in the game, tied for the most by a Chasers pitcher in SEASON SERIES WIN: With a win in either of the next two games, and the Storm Chasers would clinch the season series win over the Dodgers. Omaha has never lost a season series to Oklahoma City as the Storm Chasers, and has won it three of the four years (2014: 9-7, 2013: 8-8, 2012: 10-6, 2011: 10-6). Omaha has also not lost a 16-game season series to a Dodgers affiliate in that same span since 2011 (2014: 1-2, 2013: 10-6, 2012: 9-7, 2011: 9-7). Omaha has won seven of the last eight meetings with Oklahoma City, after losing five of the first six games in THE GREAT BALBINO: With six hits and four RBI in the doubleheader yesterday (with all RBI coming in the second game) Balbino Fuenmayor now has totaled 23 hits and 14 RBI in his 13 games with Omaha so far. Since he joined the Pacific Coast League on July 4, only Jeremy Hazelbaker of Memphis at 26 hits and Josh Rutledge of Salt Lake at 24 hits have more than Balbino (his.404 average is also top five in the PCL since July 4). In his last 32 games (19 with Northwest Arkansas and 13 with Omaha), Balbino has batted.404 (55-for-136) with 30 RBI. OKLAHOMA HIT-Y: With the 27 hits in 59 at-bats yesterday (.458 average), the Omaha offense is now batting.331 against Oklahoma City this season, their highest average against any opponent this season and the highest average the Dodgers have allowed against any opponent. CHES MOVES: During his nine-game hitting streak, Cheslor Cuthbert has racked up 12 hits and is batting.371 (13-for-35) during that stretch. Combined with his four-game stint with Kansas City in which he racked up five hits, and Cuthbert is currently riding a 13-game hitting streak across the two levels, and during that 13-game streak he is batting.360 (18-for-50). ON THE OFFENSIVE: The Storm Chasers currently own the best batting average in the Pacific Coast League this month at.312, one of two teams with a team average over.300 for the month (Salt Lake at.304). Omaha has collected double-digit hits in five of their last seven games, and 11 out of their 18 total games in July. Since the start of the 2013 season, the Chasers only have one month at.300 average or better, when they batted.300 in June of the 2014 season. DAY BASEBALL: In day games at Werner Park this season, Omaha has posted a record of 7-3, including four straight wins (have not lost a home day game since June 7 vs Colorado Springs). FIRST SCORE WINS: Even with the Dodgers losing yesterday while scoring first, Oklahoma City (33-10,.767) and Omaha (35-11,.761) own the two best records in the PCL when scoring first. AVG B.
