4 RubberDucks Rewind Last Time Out SeaWolves Sneak By RubberDucks, 3-2 by Melissa Powell (Akron, Ohio) July 18, 2014 The Erie SeaWolves snapped a 2-2 tie in the top of the 10th inning by launching back-to-back doubles, bringing home the go-ahead run and giving them just enough to defeat the Akron RubberDucks, 3-2, on Friday night at Canal Park. The teams traded momentum as Erie posted a single run in the second and third inning and the 'Ducks followed by posting a single run in each of the fourth and fifth frames. The RubberDucks got on the board when Adam Abraham doubled, advanced on a wild pitch from Thompson and scored on a groundout. Another ground-out in the bottom of the fifth created a scoring opportunity for Ronny Rodriguez and knotted the score at 2-2. In his second AA appearance, Akron starter Shawn Morimando hurled six innings in which he allowed six hits and two runs while striking out one. The lefty's six-inning outing matched his AA debut on May 30 at Canal Park when he worked through six shutout innings and racked up six strikeouts.
