Binghamton tied the game on a Michael Conforto seventh-inning triple, his first RBI with Binghamton. They took the lead in the eighth inning with the help of an Altoona error and balk, allowing the decisive two runs to score. The B-Mets first two runs came off the bat of Aderlin Rodriguez, who had his first multiple-home run game since August, Matt Koch got the win in relief, while Paul Sewald notched his ninth save of the year. BINGHAMTON STARTER: RHP Rainy Lara is making his ninth start of the year and the second of his career against Trenton. The righty is coming off a loss against Akron, allowing four runs for the second straight outing. He allowed eight hits while striking out a season-high seven. In his lone start against Trenton, Lara was touched up for seven runs and 11 hits in 5.2 innings last July. The seven runs were a season-high, while the 11 hits matched a season-high for the starter. Lefties are batting.327 against Lara. TRENTON STARTER: LHP Eric Wooten is making his fourth start of the season with Trenton and the first of his career against Binghamton. The southpaw s last outing came with Scranton-Wilkes Barre (AAA) on May 24. Wooten allowed six runs and nine hits in 5.1 innings of relief. Between the two teams, Wooten is 1-4 with a 6.75 ERA in nine appearances, allowing an opposing batting average of.318. He was 3-3 with a 4.08 ERA in seven outings with Trenton in VS. TRENTON: This is the first series between these two teams in They split the season series in 2014, each winning four games. They didn t meet for the first time in 2014 until after the All-Star break. Binghamton hit.240 against Trenton, with six home runs and eight stolen bases in the eight games. The B-Mets had three blown saves.
