3 Klondike Camp Rules: No guns, alcohol, tobacco (Includes E-cigarette), fireworks, No fires unattended. If no one is at the campsite/location the fire will be put out and point will be lost. Scout Oath and Law are ultimate behavior guidelines for all participants Be safe and courteous Have fun Female bathrooms will be marked Sleds should be six feet in length, 24 in width and at least 50 pounds empty No wheels are permitted on the sled regardless of the weather Patrols MUST compete as a patrol with all members present at each High Adventure Camp The patrol may or may not be split into two or more parts to compete at more than one High Adventure Camp at a time. Each patrol must have a patrol name and yell as identification during the event. Each Patrol Leader needs to give the score sheet to the High Adventure Camp judge. Patrols will consist of at least 5 and no more than 9 members. The decision of the High Adventure Camp judge and other Klondike staff are final. o Judge s discretion will be used at all events o Any issues that need to be addressed should be directed to Campmaster by the Troop s Senior Patrol Leader

4 Morning Events: Philmont Bear Bag Throw - Scouts will throw a bag and try to get it on the branch. Stand 10 feet away and see how far you can throw the bag. Points are awarded for the highest throw from each Patrol. Stretcher building - Patrols will build a stretcher and use it to carry a Scout through an obstacle course without dropping the Scout. Florida Sea Base Fishing - Cast a lure into a hula hoop target. Points are awarded for landing in the target. Sandcastle Building - Using magic sand, build a sandcastle in a container. Points awarded for creativity, and durability of the sandcastle. (Patrols need to supply their own sandcastle building materials.) Swamp Base Dolly Canoe Obstacle Course Patrols race with a Scout in the Canoe through an obstacle course being careful not to tip the Scout into the water. Summit Archery - Hit a target to earn points. Paintball Shooting - Hit a target to get points. Northern Tier Hatchet Throwing - Patrols will throw a hatchet at the target. Points awarded for how close the hatchet lands to the bullseye. Tandem Skis 3 person skis. Scouts will make a team and work together to walk the length of the course. The group with the best time will win. Lunch Cooking Challenge - Bring your Troop s best lunch and dessert to Head Quarters for judging. Each patrol competes in the Cooking Challenge by providing a HOT LUNCH (not store bought/delivery) for the Campmaster and Camp Staff.

5 Afternoon Events: Sled Races - Troops will race their sled to prove who has the most High Adventure Skills. Points awarded for First, Second and Third Place. Leaders Sled Races - Leaders will race for High Adventure bragging rights. Bonus points will be awarded to their troop for First, Second and Third Place. Rules and Regulations: Scoring: Up to 20 points awarded at each High Adventure camp. Up to 10 points can be awarded for the skills demonstration portion of each task. Up to 10 points can be awarded for Scout Spirit, Teamwork and overall Patrol Performance at the High Adventure Camp. The Patrol Leader must present the score sheet to the Camp Judge. Registration form and fee should be turned into the Council office.
