2 Attn: All Ocean County Cub Masters and Pack Leaders We are excited to invite you and your Webelos (I & II) to our annual Ocean County Webelos Klondike. Please make sure you announce this fun filled event at your next Pack meeting. We had a fantastic turn out last year and we are expecting an even better turn out this year! If you are not familiar with our Webelos Klondike event, this is a great way to give your Scouts some exposure to the outdoors, learn about team building, and other useful skills. This three-day weekend event will begin on Friday evening and end on Sunday. Our volunteers will run various stations throughout Joseph A. Citta Scout Reservation based on a scout skills and just some plain old fun! Please use the Patrol Roster Form in this packet to list the Scouts for each Patrol, and a Pack Roster for every person that will be in camp during the event. You, and your Leaders, will be registering your Scouts in patrols of no more than 10 Scouts (Packs with dens larger than 10 will need to have 2 Patrols no Patrols larger than 10 scouts) and listing them on the Roster Form - Scouts should be listed by Patrol. If you have less than six Scouts participating in the event, we will combine them with another small patrol to form a team of 8-10 Scouts. Please make sure all of your contact information on your registration is correct and PRINTED NEATLY so we can inform you in advance who you will be paired with. This will allow you and the team you are paired with to contact each other in advance and be better prepared for the event. You will then list the names of all of the people that will be attending the event on the Unit Roster Form (Scouts, parents, leaders, etc). This information is required for your safety. If something happens we need a list of everyone in Citta at that moment, not names of people who are coming or have left. The event registration fee is $12.00 per Scout (includes commemorative patch) and $8.00 for leaders and parents. Each unit will have a $30.00 unit site fee. Scouts, parents, and leaders are responsible for their own meal planning and supplies. For units arriving on Friday and camping for the weekend, registration begins at 4:30pm at the parking lot, earlier if possible, and closes at 6:00pm. A Webelos Cracker Barrel will be at 7:30pm Friday in the Citta Center. 3 Patrol Form and Complete Roster Forms Pack # The following forms are required. The first form, the Patrol Form, will list each patrol and their leadership from your unit. Complete multiple Patrol Forms if your unit has multiple patrols. The second form is the Unit Roster Form and is required by camp. Please list ALL people attending with your unit, including leaders, scouts, parents, siblings, pet turtles, etc. The camp will be keeping an active record of who is on the property and we will be turning these forms in to them. Wristbands will be issued to units based on the information you provide on the Unit Roster Form. Please have all forms ready prior to arriving at camp. 5 Klondike Sled Ideas Sleds can be made to accept wheels if there is no snow and wagons can even be adapted with skis. Most importantly, have fun and be creative.
