It s time for Indy Dancers most spectacular event of the year - our 27 th Anniversary Dance. This year we are going to the fabulous Murat Shrine Arabian Room on Saturday, April 10 th. See our newsletter ad for all we have planned for you. It s going to be a great evening and a time to celebrate 27 years of dancing and friendships. So, get your tickets at our Tuesday dances and let s put on the Ritz! Nominations for our President and Vice- President will be held on May 11th. Are you someone who has time to volunteer? Or do you know someone who could do a great job? You won t be alone help will be by your side as you have questions. These positions require budgeting and coordinating events along with presiding over meetings and negotiating with venues. Members who can not run for an office, please show your support to those who take on these responsibilities by volunteering in the areas which you have expertise. 2 Secretary s Report Treasurer s Report Indy Dancers March 9, 2010 Meeting Minutes Margaret Bell Indy Dancers, Inc. Income Statement as of 3/23/10 Don Mindach President Joan Rantanen called the meeting to order. There were no minutes or treasurers report to accept due to the fact that February and March were combined in Footnotes Newsletter. OLD BUSINESS: Have you heard the latest news? President Joan Rantanen is videoing the dance lessons! Forgot a step or how to do a move; this gives you a chance to review our dance lessons. Check out the video on u-tube and also indydancers.com website. NEW BUSINESS: Save the dates: Monday, March 15th, is Nursing Home Visit at Altenheim, 3525 East Hanna at 6:30 PM. See Dave Jones for more information. Tuesday, March 16th, is Indy Dancers St. Patrick s Day Party at the Moose, starting with a dance lesson at 7:00 and then party till 10:30 PM. Saturday, March 20th, we are dancing at Starlite Ballroom at 7: count Hustle lesson with Scott and Yulia. Saturday, April 10th-We will be celebrating 27 years of dancing, friendship and fun!. DJ John Bramhall from Dayton, Ohio will provide the music, which will be our style. There will be light hors'doeuvres, desserts, and door prizes. Mark your calendar because you won't want to miss this. Since seating is limited, guarantee your seat for this exciting event by buying your ticket(s) which are available at our weekly dances or by mail order form from our website or Footnotes. Tickets are $20 for members and $25 for guests. Voting for President and Vice President is up-coming. If you would be interested in being nominated for one of these positions, please see Joan Rantanen, President or Mark Zupan, Vice President. They will be happy to answer any questions. Do you enjoy reading Footnotes? Joan Rantanen has been very dedicated in getting together all the information, typing it, getting it printed and mailing it out. She has done this for many years, so it is time to give her a break. She is looking for someone to volunteer to take this over. If you are interested, please see Joan.
