1 UPPER BEACONSFIELD PONY CLUB NEWSLETTER JUNE 2013 DC REPOR T So wasn t last rally a wet one! I must confess that after the nonstop rain throughout most of the morning I would have been quite happy to pull up stumps at lunchtime and go home to thaw out! But luckily we did stay because the afternoon weather was much improved & at least we got home sort of dry. I guess there ll be plenty more of the inclement weather to come. Thanks to all the instructors who soldiered on & the good thing that has come out of it is that the water jump was full last weekend so it maybe the same this rally. This rally we have Vanessa Canning, Kathy Kindler, Vanda Morgan & Rebecca Scott. Because of some being away (which includes the Jones girls) I have again moved some of the riders around so as to keep reasonably even numbers in the various groups. I hope that that s OK, as I said last rally it s not permanent but I think it s the best way of accommodating for all. As mentioned last rally we now have a new card secretary Denise Lloyd doing the cards & going forward it will be the responsibility of each rider to hand their cards in in the morning & pick them up at lunchtime or just after. But I guess this is only applicable to those of you who want to go out and compete. If you have no intension of competing then feel free to leave your card in Denise s care. If you want to be graded please let me know in advance of the rally so that I can coordinate this with the relevant instructors. To those who did their D certificates last rally congratulations we will be making a presentation at lunchtime. Hope you all have a good day on the 16 th. If anyone has outgrown uniform items, have a look around the club for someone smaller, you can bet they ve grown too and also can find someone smaller especially with all our new little members! 11 CLINICS Megan Jones is coming back to run clinics in July (1 and 2) and September (26 and 27) holidays. This year open to riders from grade 1 4. If you miss out on first clinic hope you can make second clinic. Find a ached entry for July Clinic July 1 and 2 at Aaron Park. It is expensive but she is amazing. Coming up: ( just working on entries hope to circulate soon) Speed to Safety at Stony Creek Saturdays May 25th and June 29th. Entry to be available soon. Is heaps of fun and great for riders ge ng a feel of rhythm at a good canter. K, C star and B camp at Tooradin Estate, October 2nd and 3rd. Encourage all you C riders to a end.
