National Eisteddfod Môn 2017 Visitors to the school have seen something very strange in our hallway recently a huge sun chair. Thanks to the assembly, the school has received the chair as a gift to begin preparing for the Eisteddfod. Here are some of the lads relaxing before the hard work of preparing for the Eisteddfod in August 2017 begins.
Urdd Eisteddfod We are on the way to Flint! The school is buzzing at the moment after so much success in the County Eisteddfod. Below is a full list of winners showing that it ll be another busy eisteddfod in Flint. See the full list on the Urdd website URDD.CYMRU. There are more successes to come when the arts and crafts competitions are announced Congratulations to all pupils as they compete in so many different competitions, including Eurgain Lloyd first in the dance competition, her sister Naomi receiving 3rd and Lois Postle of year 11 who received the first prize in the folk dance competition for girls under 25.

William Mathias Schools Service Congratulations to all pupils who receive instrumental tuition by the William Mathias service. The annual concert will be held at the Pritchard Jones Hall in Bangor, on Sunday 24th April at Good luck to Ioan Jordan, Kirsten McDonald and James Magee at the concert.
Netball Congratulations to the year netball teams winning their game against Ysgol Dyffryn Ogwen, Bethesda. Yr. 8 won by 5 goals to 4 and Yr.10 by 6 goals to 3. Congratulations to Morgan Owen (Yr.8) and Sophie Begley (Yr.9) for being selected as the players of the match as well. Keep it up girls.
Netball Results Yr.7 lost their first game against Ysgol Dyffryn Ogwen - 5 goals to 2. With a little more practice and games, success will come soon. Keep it up girls. Lily Furlong must be congratulated on receiving player of the match. Well done Lili :-) It was a different story for year 9, winning by 14 goals to 10 in their game against Ysgol Dyffryn Ogwen with Sophie Begley receiving player of the match. Well done girls.
Mathew Jones Congratulations to Mathew Jones from year 10. His talent as a Rugby player has been acknowledged as he s been selected as a member of the RGC under 15s team. He was recently selected as part of the squad which played against Pontypridd. During Easter Mathew and the rest of the squad played in a national tournament in North Wales. Mathew is a kind hearted pupil, with his friends he has organised an event at the school to raise money for Ysbyty Gwynedd's Alaw ward by being sponsored to shave his head. Here s Matthew with his friends before and after a haircut thanks to Rhian, a student of the Salon for the hair cut.
Cysgu n brysur Friday, 18 th of March, Ysgol Uwchradd Bodedern GCSE Drama class had the opportunity to see the Cysgu n brysur play by Arad Goch at the Galeri, Caernarfon. The history of young people s lives and the pressures teenagers face. We had a wonderful experience of watching all the talents on stage performing with a high standard of acting. Acting was not the only thing the professional performers can do, but also had the ability to sing and dance. The cast and director, Bethan Marlow deserved high praise. Everyone enjoyed the production, and we would been thrilled to go to watch the show again, or any other productions by Arad Goch. It was easy to sympathise with the characters and their situations. Thanks to Mr Arwyn Roberts for organising and for the opportunity to go to the Gallery. Mali Shock-Roberts and Gwenno Pritchard
Well done Cai Constable, Cerwyn Stuart-Owen, Erin Grieves-Owen and Carwyn Hughes who has been attending Mastering Mathematics sessions at Bangor University this term. As many other pupils whose talent has been identified and nurtured by the school. Good luck to Rebecca Hartshorn on the tour to Japan with Bethesda Karate school Over Easter, familiar voices were heard on Radio Wales, as a group of school pupils took over the radio program Tommo for 15 minutes. The boys were obviously having fun at presenting the program and Huw in enjoyed presenting with Dai o r South.
