1 AUDLEY PRIMARY SCHOOL Newsletter 31 st March/Spring 2 Wk 6 Dear Parents, Easter Raffle Thank you to all parents that bought raffle tickets for the Easter raffle. Today Yasmin Amassoul, Paige Bacon and Daniel Hammond chose the three lucky winners. James and Caitlin McTighe were the shopping trolley winners, Katie and Emily Sherwin were winners of the Easter egg and Paige Bacon won the gift voucher. Windsor Castle Last Friday Year 1 ventured to Windsor Castle as part of an end of topic celebration for Queen and Country. I heard fantastic reports from both teachers and personnel at Windsor Castle. This feedback always makes me proud of our pupils. The workshop looked amazing! I heard that their role play and costumed workshop captivated the interest of many tourists at the castle. Thank you to Mrs Armour, Miss Sutton and the Parent Helpers for a fantastic day. Parking and Traffic Flow Review You may recall that Mr Jenson (Headteacher at Sunnydown School), Mrs Wheeler (Headteacher at St Francis Primary School) and I wrote to you on 20 th March requesting your support in writing to Surrey County Council to have our parking and driving conditions reviewed. We welcome your support and need many more signatures for our register. Please drop by the office to sign up to have parking reviewed on the school site.
2 Sewing and Craft Club Wow! What impressive cushions. The craft work and colour combinations are of craft fayre standard. All pupils have surpassed expectations. Thank you to Mrs Goodwin, Mrs Osman and Mrs D Alberto for leading Sewing and Craft Club on Thursday lunchtimes for KS2. I look forward to finding out what their next project will be. The Wizard of Audley Mrs McWalter s choir delivered their performance of Wizard of Audley on 23 rd March. As expected, the choir gave an energetic and fantastic performance. I was particularly impressed with the soloists. Thank you to the parents that came to watch their child perform. I look forward to seeing what the next performance will be. Badminton Awards Mr Fletcher awarded children from his Badminton Club certificates during Tuesday s assembly this week. It was lovely to see many pupils collecting their rewards. A special mention goes to Daniel Hammond (Year 5) who has been awarded Player of the Term. This trophy can now be found in our trophy cabinet. Well done Daniel!
