2 Christmas was SPECTACULAR, Indeed! The reviews are in and the 2012 Christmas Spectacular was the best one yet! If you didn t see it be sure and get there next year! The theatre was a buzz as the stage lights lit the gorgeous costumes and the bright shining faces of our talented students. Joy rang out with humor, classic music, new and updated music, Glee ful performances and hilarious appearances from Santa, himself! The magic continued with high energy performances from Brooklyn Roebuck, YTV s Next Star winner. Finally the show whisked the audience away to a wintery land of sugarplums and chocolate and artful wars between toy soldiers and mice as the Nutcracker Ballet took centre stage. The show this year had all of the makings of a great Christmas family tradition. It had favourites from last year, fresh new ideas, new artists and amazing talent! PRE-NATAL Dance and Stretch for Pregnant Mothers (Term 2 only) Mondays, 8:15 9:15pm Ages 18+ (Or any Expectant Mother) Beginning in February, join Artistic Director Heather as she teaches a gentle, sassy and fun dance and stretch class geared to get you to accept and embrace your new curves, to keep you safe in movement, and get your hips open and core strong in preparation for labor and motherhood. 6 PURE MONTHLY AWARDS PURE ACTOR The Pure actor of the month is Andre McKay. Andre went above an beyond for this years Christmas show. Even though he did not appear onstage he was in the wings for every rehearsal and the performance, helping our tech crew create a seamless show. Andre is hilarious in class and always comes in with a positive attitude. Thanks for all of your help Andre! Your work ethic is just awesome! PURE TRIPLE THREAT The Pure Triple Threat of the month is Madeleine Rossignol. As a soloist in the Pure Christmas Spectacular Madi rose to the challenge of attacking the big stage. Madi is a leader to younger students and shows great confidence. Thank you for sharing your beautiful voice with us all! keep up the great work Madi! PURE DANCER Colin is the definition of a hard worker at Pure. His growth and development this year is incredible and his passion and love for dance is endless. Colin always comes to class with a positive attitude and enjoys being challenged and given feedback each and every class. He is a student who you won t hear complaining no matter what you tell him to do. He always gives %110 and never gives up. It s a pleasure to have such a passionate and positive student each and every week.! PURE SINGER Pure Singer of the month is Chloe Chouinard. Chloe is a sweet and attentive presence in Mini Voice class. She works very hard and has a real spark that comes out when she sings. Chloe is an excellent friend to her entire class and makes a real effort every day. We are so proud of you Chloe! PURE FLORENCE PERFORMER Shawn Miller is in his second year at Pure and his love for Musical theatre is evident from the moment he walks into class. His energy and enthusiasm light up the room and motivates his classmates to join in his wacky ways! Shawn is extremely hard working and brings focus and dedication every week. He s not afraid to try new activities and is usually the first to volunteer. Shawn s infectious smile and laugh gets passed around! Keep up the great work Shawn! PURE WALLACEBURG PERFORMER Wallaceburg Performer of the Month is Averey Peats This student has gone above and beyond each and every week to really do her best in class every week. She continuously challenges herself each week and always strives to master each dance move and combination. Averey is a leader in her class and is not afraid to be at the front. You can always count on her to have a positive attitude and be really enthusiastic in her dancing. PURE HEART PURE HEART goes to Brooklyn Roebuck! Brooklyn is not attending PURE right now her HEART is still here! Brooklyn had been a PURE from 2008 to She played Kelsey in PURE s Production of High School Musical as well as playing Willy Wonka in the following year s production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. She is a great role model for our triple threat students. Brooklyn has proven that if you work hard & take all of the opportunities that come your way, you can reach your goals!
