1 Acorn A s Our 47th Year The NutShell May 2018 Coming Events We have an event coming up that you won t want to miss. The NCRG is hosting the 2018 MAFCA Convention on June 24 to June 29 in Reno/ Sparks, NV. This will be a well-attended event starting with a welcome party, with bus and self-guided tours, with vehicle and Fashion judging shows and a tea, technical and fashion seminars, a grand tour, banquet and other major events. If you can t make the entire convention it s worth the trip for a few days. Don't miss out on a great Model A event and register now on the website ncrgmafca.com. I hope to see you there! If you have yet to go on a tour lead by Bill and Anne Biddell now is the time and there is one spot left. It will be three days of fun and mischief so sign up soon. Finally I want to congratulate Dahlia on winning our first Jackpot. I think the Club was as thrilled as Dahlia that she won. Come to our next meeting for your chance to win the next jackpot. Dahlia Amaral was the Acorn A's big raffle winner at the April meeting! Many before her had tried for the big cash prize but luck was with Dahlia as she drew the winning chip. Congratulations Dahlia!!! Oro Loma Water Tour Oro Loma is having a house May 5. We will get a first hand look how the water treatment facility works. There well be complimentary hot dogs, cookies, shaved ice and coffee. Last year we were able to go on top of the digester which gives a great view of the area. The digester fuels the cogenerators that power the plant. After we will have lunch at Buddy's and Brews. Leaving Creekside at 9:30 am. Brian & Sue McGarry Meetings The Acorn A s meet the second Tuesday of each month except December at the Castro Valley Masonic Center 4521 Crow Canyon Rd. in Castro Valley. The meeting starts at 7:30 PM with dinner before at selected restaurants at 5:30.

2 Page 2 2 Meeting Minutes NutShell General Meeting April December 10, , 2005 Meeting was called to order promptly at 7:30pm. President George Diamantine started with a Here thee, Here thee and then greeted everyone. Cal Laymance got a round of applause for coming to the meeting. Motion to approve March s minutes as published in the Nutshell made by Jackie Brooks and 2 nd by Carol Low. Membership chairperson Bill Biddell reported 32 members. Treasurer Steve Danzer gave a monthly budget report. Besides the club earning 26 cent of interest. Secretary Sue McGarry reported a Car Show in Corning. We received a Castro Valley Recreation Program and a 1929 Town Sedan for sale, from a private party. Nutshell: Bill Biddell asked for articles and pictures by the 20 th. Fashion: Jackie Brooks reported the National Convention expanded the fashion show into the Tea. NCRG: Vern Brooks, no news until National Convention. Sunshine: Bea Van Wetter reported David s leg is feeling better and Maria is back home. We sang Happy Birthday to our Vice President, Jim Rodrigues. Raffle: Mona and the rest of the club gave lucky Dahlia Amaral a rip roaring applause for winning the raffle of $269 by drawing the white chip. Webmaster, Bob Woodford asked the members to review if the information is correct. Send Bob any picture you have. Attendance reported by Bill Biddell, 15 families and 27 members at tonight s meeting with one visitor. Tour Leader Tony Shull had Kathy Morte report on the St Patrick s Day Parade. Upcoming tours include FAST Hill Climb Auburn April 28, McGarry s Oro Loma Sanitary District Open House May 5, 9:30 Creekside, Bill & Anne Biddell s May Bodega Bay Tour. Kathy & Bill Morte s third Thursday of Camp Parks Tour, George Diamantine s Rowell Ranch Rodeo Parade May 12 and George s Memorial Day at Lone Tree May 28 with lunch provided by the Boy Scouts. Finally, The National Convention June 24, Glenn & Catherine Martin. Tony Shull presented the Shake Award to Bill Biddell and Steve Danzer for helping Brian with replacing his clutch. Old Business, Kathy Morte working on basket for the National Convention. New business, Annual Picnic August 11 at President George & Mona Diamantine s house. Annual meeting Dancing under the Disco Ball at Masonic Hall. Refreshments were provided by Dahlia Amaral, Gail Baxley and Kathy Morte, May s meeting refreshments by Mona Diamantine, Jackie Brooks and Kathy Morte Meeting adjourned at 8:00 for refreshments, motioned by Vern Brooks and seconded by Tony Shull. Submitted by Sue McGarry, Secretary Bodega Bay Tour - May We will depart at 9 am on the 18 th and spend 2 nights in Bodega Bay village with Saturday exploring the area. We will visit the Point Reyes Museum, Davis Marine Laboratory for a tour, a cheese factory to buy stuff, Bodega Head with fantastic views of the Pacific coast, The Bodega Bells, Occidental for lunch and a drive by the Birds house. Our hotel will be in the center of the village with great restaurants near by for our meals and a beautiful area for happy hour. The total driving will be about 300 miles. Returning on Sunday mid afternoon. Remember to pack a picnic lunch for Friday lunch. For questions call Bill or Anne Biddell

Lift off distributor cap, rotor, and body. Turn engine over slowly with hand crank until breaker arm rests on one of the lobes of the cam with the breaker points fully ed. 2. Loosen lock screw and turn the contact screw until the gap is between.018 and.022. A standard thickness gage is used to obtain this measurement. When correct adjustment is obtained, tighten the lock screw. After tightening the lock screw, again check the gap to make sure the adjustment was not altered when the lock screw was tightened. 3.
