3 Rock It Climbing 54 Bathurst St Hobart LOCATION INFORMATION LOCATION GETTING TO THE VENUE Hobart Airport to the city is approximately minutes drive. Taxis and buses are also available: from/taxis- buses/ There is no onsite parking available at the gym itself, but we are immediately adjacent to a public car park on Bathurst St, which is one- way ($2/per hour or $10 all day). Local taxis are very affordable.

4 ACCOMMODATION Hotel/backpackers: There are local hotels and backpackers in the CBD. We recommend: Budget: as this is VERY close to the gym (we share a wall). Mid- range hotel: 50 meters from the gym: Homes: In the event that booking accommodation is unsuccessful, there will be homes of families and climbers that will look after you. No other restrictions apply to these competitors wishing to compete in Open A. REGISTRATION AND ENTRY COST Online registration will open September 1 st When you registrar you will be asked to pay for competition entry: Registration Timeframe Cost General registration Registration Closes $40 By registering in this competition, the climber authorises Sport Climbing Tasmania to use any photographs or videos taken at this event for promotional material or to release on the event website and/or Facebook page. To revoke authorisation of the use of photographs by Sport Climbing Tasmania please submit your wish in writing to josh@rockitclimbing.com.au

7 EVENT REGULATION EVENT OFFICIALS Event Organiser: Head Judge/ Jury President: Head Route Setter: Josh Fawssett/ Kane Mcleod Richard Perry Thomas Krauss FORMAT Open A, Open B and Master 2 Flash Qualifiers 1 Onsight Final for top 8 climbers in each category Youth Categories 2 Flash Qualifiers for each category 1 Onsight Final for the top 8 climbers in each category RESULTS The top 8 competitors will be decided by their placing in the onsight final. The remainder of the field will be decided by their placing in the qualifiers. In the event of a tie, count back to heats will be conducted. If there is still a tie, time on the final route will be used to determine places. RULES AND REGULATIONS To compete in this State Competition the climber agrees to follow all rules and regulations outlined in this information pack and follow the rules and procedures of the hosting gym: Rock It Climbing. This competition will run in conjunction with the Sport Climbing Australia rules.
