4 4) INTERACT Congratulations to all our interactors who played a role in the raising of R10,000.
5 5) LIBRARIAN S CHOICE THE GIRL IN THE SPIDER S WEB by David Lagercrantz Lisbeth Salander and Mikael Blomkvist have not been in touch for some time. Then Blomkvist is contacted by renowned Swedish scientist Professor Balder. Warned that his life is in danger, but more concerned for his son s well-being, Balder wants Millennium to publish his story and it is a terrifying one. More interesting to Blomkvist that Balder s world-leading advances in Artificial Intelligence is his connection with a certain female superhacker. It seems that Salander, like Balder, is a target of ruthless cyber gangsters and a violent criminal conspiracy that will very soon bring terror to the snowbound streets of Stockholm, to the Millennium team, and to Blomkvist and Salander themselves. 6) BLOOD CLINIC The Blood Clinic will be visiting Fairmont on Friday, 23 ober. All donors must please ensure that they have a good breakfast, and do not forget to bring along your I.D. There is an urgent need for blood donations. Should you be in good health, please consider supporting the WP Blood clinic. 7) SANTA SHOEBOX PROJECT The Santa Shoebox crew: Samuel Peters, Natalie Hoal and Cayley Jones, stand next to the over 200 Christmas boxes sponsored by parents and staff of Fairmont High School. Thank you to all those who contributed to this very worthwhile cause. A special thank you to Mrs Jones and her crew who coordinated the project and sought out sponsors for the shortfalls in some of the boxes. Well done everyone!

11 Dear Fairmont Parents One of my dear friends and colleagues, Melanie Adams, is terminally ill. I am hoping that our Fairmont Family will assist me in this endeavour to help someone very special. We have a wonderful evening planned at the Barnyard, Willowbridge, on the evening of Thursday, 29 ober Please help raise funds towards Melanie s cancer treatment by purchasing tickets at R each to this fantastic new show!!! The venue is fabulous. All you need to purchase from the Barnyard are your drinks. You may bring your own snacks, or buy pizzas at the Barnyard for R65. It is not an expensive night out, and we guarantee you will have a fantastic evening whilst contributing to a very worthwhile cause. Melanie has metastatic melanoma and is currently on treatment. The portion of payment required from her personally is R288,000 and we at Ooba are doing everything we can to assist Melanie and her family to raise this money. Melanie is 26 years old and has 2 small children. She is an amazingly good and kind person, and I have known her personally for more than 5 years. Please call your friends, family and business partners to join us in the Ooba first initiative! Any tables of 10 or more purchased via your business partners will be allowed to advertise next to Ooba as supporters of this cause. You are also welcome to request a table from 8 to 16 people, if you would like to sit with your family and friends. We also have Honeymoon boxes (tables for 2) and single seats. Talk to me about your specific requirements! Should you require an Ooba letterhead to sell tickets to business partners, banks, agencies, suppliers, etc., please me directly for a copy of the authorisation. This is an Ooba endorsed event (not sponsored). If you cannot attend but would like to purchase a ticket for Melanie or her family, I will be reserving one table for Melanie s family and we hope to have all their tickets sponsored. Payment via cash or EFT (details available from me). Please call me or me as per the details on our flyer. I would love to have my Fairmont family next to my Ooba family. Many thanks.
