2 Dear Prospective Member, Thank you for expressing an interest in joining Lingdale Golf Club. I hope that we have included sufficient information in this document to whet your appetite even further and apply for membership in the near future. If there is any additional information you require, please do not hesitate in contacting me. Andy Mee Club Manager What new members said after joining Lingdale: Everyone has been so friendly and welcoming Having returned to Lingdale after an eight year break, it s been wonderful to come home and see the developments on the golf course as well as the new modern Clubhouse I find it a very friendly Club, the course is superb. I have been playing at Lingdale for years and am now glad that I have joined. It s a wonderful experience The greens are as good as anywhere in the County, and as quick and as true into the winter. The course plays very well Everyone has been very friendly and you are encouraged to join in The course is quite challenging but very enjoyable Although I play twice a week, the course is never the same and the company is always excellent Even though I m a new member, I ve really been made to feel a part of the Club A very social and friendly Club I enjoy the course and everyone is very friendly. It s far exceeded my expectations! 100% the right decision to become a member and join Lingdale GC. A superb course, nestled away in a beautiful part of Leicestershire, with a number of challenging holes and very friendly staff. The ease of booking tee times online and regular bulletins help enormously before you even get to the first tee!! I ve been delighted with my decision to join Lingdale. Everyone has made me feel welcome and I ve made good friends as a result. The course is challenging but very picturesque

3 Why join Lingdale? - Play your golf in 140 acres of beautiful scenery within the Charnwood Forest area. - We offer a variety of membership options to meet your needs and circumstances. - The Joining Fee can be spread over four years or be discounted for an upfront payment. - Our annual subscriptions are very competitive and can be paid monthly if that suits your budget better. - We offer a comprehensive competition structure that is available for all membership categories and golfers of varying skill levels. - There are many opportunities to represent Lingdale in matches against other local Clubs. - Bring guests along to play at vastly reduced rates. - Our Professional, Peter Sellears, has been with us for over 25 years and offers tuition and advice, as well as operating a fully stocked outlet for equipment and golfing apparel. - An online tee booking system that allows members to view course availability and book golf without having to travel to the Club. - Our wonderful new Clubhouse offers excellent value for money food and drink facilities, as well as a varied social programme. - The Clubhouse is available for hire to members for their private functions without charge. - Members receive a Bar Card that provides discounts on the published food and drink prices. - We re very proud of our website and we re confident that all the information that a member and visitor requires is on there (there s also a security protected Members Area that provides information for their eyes only). - We regularly distribute enewsletters to our registered website users to keep them updated with issues affecting the Golf Club. - We offer a reciprocal arrangement with Scraptoft Golf Club, Glen Gorse Golf Club, Kettering Golf Club, Stoke Rochford Golf Club, Druids Heath, Chilwell Manor and Drayton Park Golf Club that allows members of each Club to visit the others in the group and play for a nominal green fee. - We offer a link with Coalville Golf Centre which offers Lingdale members the chance to receive another 25% off balls when 100 are purchased.

5 The Application Process. Firstly, having read this document, if you have any queries not answered, please speak to the Club Manager, Andy Mee to seek clarification. Once you have decided that you wish to pursue an application to join, please complete the Application Form included in this pack and then forward it to the Club Manager for processing. If you do not know any current members of Lingdale Golf Club that could propose and second your application, simply state this on your application. This will not be a barrier to you joining us. On receipt of your application, a copy will be posted on our notice board for fourteen days to allow existing members to see who is applying and have an opportunity to confirm their suitability, or on very rare occasions, their unsuitability! However, before the expiry of that period, the Club Manager will contact you to arrange a meeting to arrange a payment plan and issue your Welcome Pack which will include;- - Our welcome letter providing information on the background of the Club, various housekeeping details, the Club s current Dress Code etc. - A copy of the Club Rules - A copy of the Rules of Golf - Club Diary - Your Bag Tag to confirm your membership - Your Bar Card At this point, you can then start to play golf at Lingdale and register for access to the Members Area of the website.
