3 Tournament Report Carl Fernandez Well, it finally happened -- Two in One s on the same day, same hole, and back to back. CONGRATULATIONS to Ed Useldinger and Tim McQuiggan. Both gentlemen ACED #15. Ed took the Net Skin and half of the CTP funds. While Tim took home the in One Insurance worth $ 350 and the other half of the CTP funds. Ed had decided not to enter in the in One Insurance. Oh well what a day Some questions have been asked: Who gets the in One Insurance? Is it first in? Do they split the money? Well since this is the first time that we can remember this happening, we are setting some new tournament rules. If more than one player gets a in One during the same Tournament round, the in One Insurance will be divided equally amongst those that paid into the in One Insurance. We will start collecting the in One Insurance Fund ($5.00) since the pool is empty for the second time in two months. Tournament Highlights: We had some very good scores this month: Tim McQuiggan had the Low Gross Round of the day with a 65. Rod Ridder recorded a 66. Gil Martin, Henry Mekaswarn and Hector Tunstad each had a 69. Hector Tunstad also had the Low Net for the day recording a 57. While Michael Placido shot a net 59. Well Done to ALL. We are trying to put together an Away Tournament and looking to see how much interest is out there. At this point, we are looking at late September at Los Amigo s in Downey. The cost per round with a cart is $60. Individual Stroke Play will be the format for both this month and September. The Deadline for signing up is Saturday, Aug 9 th. If you are looking for a Preferred Tee Time, you have to attend the General Meeting and take part in our Preferred Tee Time drawing. Don t wait for the last minute. If you cannot attend our Meeting, stop by the Pro Shop anytime and fill out a sign-up card and attach your entry fees. The Pro Shop has an envelope for Tournament Play, which I empty once a week.
