Hydro Force which dislodged its rider J Payne in the mounting yard was examined by the Club s Veterinary Surgeon upon arrival at the barriers and passed fit to run. Nick Souquet was also dislodged from his mount Tom Raks in the mounting enclosure. Hydro Force which had been marginally slow to begin was then checked when tightened for room between Lady Churchill and Princess Zena. Shortly after the start Delatite Dash shifted in and bumped with Magnus Effect on two occasions resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced. Mon Clinton and Blazing Dreams bumped heavily on jumping. Hydro Force overraced in the early and middle stages. Rounding the 700m turn Turkana became awkwardly placed close to the heels of Mr Bottomley shifted out and bumped heavily with Mon Clinton.

2 Mr Bottomley and Mon Clinton both raced wide without cover for the majority of the race. Rounding the home turn near the 300m Magnus Effect was severely checked to avoid the heels of Delatite Dash which became unbalanced and shifted in abruptly despite the efforts of its rider. Also rounding the home turn Turkana was eased to avoid the heels of Hydro Force which shifted out to improve. Blazing Dreams raced very greenly throughout the event and hung in in the straight. Mr Bottomley layed in under pressure in the home straight. Over the concluding stages O Malley shifted out abruptly and became unbalanced. A post race veterinary examination of Magnus Effect which performed below market expectations revealed no abnormalities. A post race veterinary examination of Delatite Dash which also performed below market expectations revealed no abnormalities. Subsequent to this race Nick Souquet who suffered an injury to his right hand when being dislodged in the mounting yard prior to the race was examined by the Club s Doctor who deemed him unfit to fulfil his remaining engagements today. Nick Souquet was advised that he will require a medical clearance before he is permitted to ride again. Race 2 tatura hotel maiden plate metres: Trainer Kevin Evans notified Stewards it was intended that Destiny Glow will be ridden further back today than at its most recent starts where it had been racing in a forward position and had not been finishing its races off. Destiny Glow was ridden at the rear of the field. Monriva, My Pinup Girl (NZ) and Bentley Tycoon were all slow to begin. O Sole Mio jumped away awkwardly. Shortly after the start Bentley Tycoon and Toyed were hampered when tightened for room between Noble Toff which shifted in slightly after being brushed by Lonhrix, and My Pinup Girl (NZ) which shifted out. Near the 1000m Bentley Tycoon became unbalanced for some distance when tightened for room by Toyed and My Pinup Girl (NZ) which shifted out after being bumped by Monriva. Monriva raced wide without cover throughout. Near the 700m Lonhrix raced up onto the heels of Lardie Lass and was steadied. Rounding the 700m turn Toyed raced up onto the heels of Monriva and was steadied. From the 500m and until the entrance to the straight Monriva was held up when unable to obtain clear running. For some distance rounding the home turn O Sole Mio was held up when unable to obtain clear running and passing the 400m had to be steadied when disappointed for a run between Scrivete and My Pinup Girl (NZ).

3 Approaching the 150m O Sole Mio, which had improved into a narrow run between Scrivette and the running rail, was steadied and Scrivete and My Pinup Girl (NZ) were both checked when crowded by Hotilla (Jessica Payne) which shifted in slightly after initially being brushed by Lardie Lass which shifted in momentarily. In all the circumstances Jessica Payne was advised that she should have had greater awareness to relieve pressure to the runners on her inside when it was safe for her to do so. A post race veterinary examination of My Pinup Girl (NZ) which performed below expectations revealed no abnormalities. Rhonda In Paris raced wide without cover for the majority of the race. Race 3 northern vic fresh tomato industry development committee maiden plate metres: Baldoria was slow to begin. At the 1200m Saveloy (NZ) brushed the running rail and lost ground. Benzaiten overraced during the early stages. Famosa compounded quickly from the 500m. A subsequent veterinary examination of Famosa revealed the filly had sustained an injury to its near fore tendon. A stable representative for Trainer Mr D Hayes was notified that Famosa would require a veterinary clearance before being permitted to race again. Approaching the 400m Dangerous Light had to be checked off the heels of Famosa which was weakening. Over the concluding stages Saveloy (NZ) and Ticking Away bumped on two occasions. Benzaiten layed in under pressure in the home straight placing its rider at a disadvantage. She s Just Rosie raced three wide without cover. C Parish rider of Dangerous Light stated that his mount never travelled well at any stage of the race and failed to run on under pressure over the final 400m. A post race veterinary examination revealed no abnormalities. Race 4 tomato growers association maiden plate metres: Trainer Mr A Corboy notified Stewards that Bella Latte would attempt to be ridden further forward today if circumstances permit. Despite its rider s urgings Bella Latte settled midfield. Correct weight was delayed when Craig Robertson rider of Radiant Art, 3 placegetter, wished to view the photo finish. Elegant Machine (NZ) began awkwardly. Markets and The Polmiester were both slow to begin. Elegant Machine (NZ) overraced during the early stages and near the 1200m got its head up when overracing. Radiant Art hung out rounding the 1200m turn.

4 Hazmat overraced during the middle stages and passing the 1000m Hazmat had to be steadied off the heels of Jazz Time. For some distance rounding the home turn Bella Latte was held up for some distance when unable to obtain clear running. Elegant Machine (NZ) hung out rounding the home turn. Arnidan laid in under pressure in the home straight resulting in its rider B Egan being unable to ride his mount out in his usual manner. Markets raced three wide without cover for the majority of the race. Race 5 trevor miles maiden plate metres: Honour Rakti which became fractious in the barriers was examined by the Club s Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to race. Word Of Mouth was slow to begin. Turning out of the straight on the first occasion Killer Smile commenced to overrace for some distance, refusing to settle. Killer Smile raced wide without cover before obtaining a position outside the leader at the 1000m. Near the 1000m Word Of Mouth raced up onto the heels of Honour Rakti and was steadied and shifted out. Following this incident Word of Mouth then raced three wide without cover and near the 700m had to be steadied to avoid the heels of Inatweet which was taken out slightly by Prince Albert (Andrew Mallyon) which shifted out from behind Grand Touch to improve. Andrew Mallyon was reprimanded for careless riding under AR137(a). Inatweet hung in under pressure in the home straight. Approaching the winning post Brown Bombshell had to be eased to avoid the heels of Inatweet which shifted in when hanging in. Passing the 200m Cynical was steadied and shifted to the outside of Prince Albert to obtain clear running. A veterinary examination of Synchronised which weakened under pressure over the final 400m revealed no abnormalities. Race 6 southern cross austero mark goring memorial handicap metres: Future Dividend which tripped over behind the barriers was examined by the Club s Veterinary Surgeon and was passed fit to race. At the 100m on the first occasion Mr O Postrophe had to be steadied to avoid the heels of Despict (Billy Egan) which shifted in when not quite clear. Billy Egan was advised to exercise more care when in similar circumstances.

5 Sophie s Tryst raced three wide without cover in the early stages before being allowed to stride forward to take up the lead near the 1400m. Near the 1200m He s Our Tiger improved up onto the heels of Tiger Time and shifted out resulting in Are The Bungs In being carried wider on the track. As a result Huxssen raced three wide without cover for the remainder of the race. Despict layed in under pressure in the home straight. A post race veterinary examination of Sophie s Tryst which weakened in the straight after leading the race revealed no abnormalities. A post race veterinary examination of Mon Couer which was eased down by its rider over the final 200m revealed no abnormalities. Race 7 winning edge presentations tatura cup metres: Acting on a confirmed telephone call from trainer Ivan Lister who advised that Edge Of Mandela was lame in the near hind leg, Stewards ordered the withdrawal of the mare at 10.47am. Ivan Lister will submit a veterinary certificate with regard to this matter. Murdoch s Joy which was late arriving on course due to transport difficulties was examined by the Club s Veterinary Surgeon who reported no abnormalities. From the 600m and until approaching the 400m Brillanconi was unable to improve its position. Race 8 neatline homes bm64 handicap metres: Healey Pass stood flat footed and as a result lost considerable ground, then began very awkwardly, threw its head up and refused to stretch out in the early stages. As a result Healey Pass took no competitive part in the race. A stable representative for Mr David Hayes was notified that Healey Pass is required to trial to the satisfaction of the Stewards before it is permitted to race again. Shortly after jumping away Mariposa Lily raced in restricted room for a number of strides between Sweet Emily and Devils Melody. Oh To Be Rich began awkwardly and got its head up. Littledoubtaboutit and Assertive Lass bumped on jumping resulting in both horses becoming unbalanced. Sweet Emily got its head up when overracing near the 800m. Mr Cooley and Wilscot raced wide without cover. On the latter part of the home turn Sweet Emily was held up when unable to improve its position. At the entrance to the straight Hoedown had to be steadied when tightened for room between Wilscot and Mr Cooley both of which shifted ground. Shortly after this Sweet Emily (Jake Duffy) shifted out to obtain clear running resulting in Belle Ez having to be steadied off that filly s heels and carried wider on the track. Jake Duffy was severely reprimanded for careless riding under AR137(a) and notified that he must be clear of runners when shifting ground in future. Speedastro laid in under pressure in the home straight.

6 Race 9 italian plate 14 december bm64 handicap metres: Very Suave, North Street Consoling Amy and Majestic Jazz were all slow to begin. Red Royal raced keenly during the early and middle stages. Pakari Toa (NZ) raced wide in the early and middle stages before being allowed to stride to sit outside the leader near the 800m. From near the 500m and until passing the 400m Very Suave was held up when unable to improve its position. At the entrance to the straight Mal s Pride was steadied when tightened for room between Torahka and Very Suave both of which shifted ground slightly. Race 10 rushton park bm64 handicap metres: Ruthless Lover was slow to begin. Cee Cee N Dry raced keenly during the early stages. Shortly after the start Cee Cee N Dry had to be checked when tightened for room between Vincent s Thirst and Inthenameoflove. After passing the 400m Bel Gold was momentarily held up when unable to improve its position. Vincent s Thirst raced wide without cover for the majority of the race. B Park rider of Vincent s Thirst stated that his mount never felt comfortable in its action throughout the race and failed to run on under pressure in the home straight. A post race veterinary examination of Vincent s Thirst revealed no abnormality. Trainer Mr. M Price will be contacted in the coming days to ascertain how Vincent s Thirst has pulled up subsequent to the race.
