3 1. LOCATION & EVENT TYPE The 2019 Oceania BMX Championships will be held at the Te Awamutu BMX Club, with the track facility at Castleton Park, Park Road, Te Awamutu in the Waikato Region. REGISTRATION Registra on will be completed on the event entry form prior to the event within the registra on window. There will be no entry on the day. All entrants will be supplied number plates & side plates, which must be used at all me during the event. All entrants must have & supply a transponder number on the entry form. 4 5. RACE PARAMETERS This event will run MYLAPS transponders (except sprockets 6 & under), all riders must supply their own transponders. BMXNZ Regulaon Interlocking cleat pedals are to be used only by riders who are UCI 10 and above in age, from the 1st of January 2019 and UCI 11 and above from the 1st of January PRIZE MONEY Purse value is open to Championship classes only. Total prize purse of NZD $ Breakdown of the purse will be based on gender equity and the level of entrants in each class. 7. 5 10. TRACK The Te Awamutu track will u lise the 5m ramp for the Oceania Championship Event. The track will run the full 355m. The Championship men running the pro -lines on the 2nd & 3rd straights and the Championship women running the pro-line on the 3rd straight. The track is built with a clay base with hardened lime surface, all corner are sealed. 11. It is the sports policy to make every prac cal and reasonable effort to protect all visitors, to prevent accidents or serious harm injuries and promote safety and welfare of all persons while on the event facility. BMXNZ, The Waikato Region & Te Awamutu BMX Club will take all possible steps to list and evaluate hazards and to determine solu ons to eliminate or minimise those hazards as part of the Risk Management Plan (RMP), to meet the sports policy noted above. BMX Racing is an ac on sport & inherently has risks that are accepted as part of sport. All known risks are noted in the BMXNZ Major Mee ng RMP & this is available onsite during the event. Par es wan ng to assess the RMP prior to entry must contact the club for detail. Entry to this event confirms an understanding of the risks of the sport as noted in the RMP. In the event of injury to an event par cipant, a completed entry is consent to proper medical treatment being administered. Event entry also consents to submit to drug tes ng if required. All entrants agree to be bound by the regula ons and general condi ons for this event as published by BMXNZ in its latest rule book. Any reference to BMXNZ within this flyer or entry is referring to BMX New Zealand Inc. Safety and safe prac ces at all BMXNZ calendared events are not nego able and failure by anyone to comply by the code of conduct or rules of the sport will result in the removal of such person from the event facility.
