A separate entry form must be made for each department Example: Market Beef on one entry form, Baked Foods on another entry form. Steers entered as market that do not make weight are not feeder steers but are eligible for showmanship. Animals will be classified by class in accordance with instructions in Local Rules. LADS & LADIES LEAD CONTEST Thursday, Sept. 1, - 5:00 P.M. Entry Fees: $1 Premiums Offered Per Class: 1 st - $20 2 nd - $15 3 rd - $10 4 th - $5 The purpose of the Lads & Ladies Lead Class is to promote the use of Wool and to give spectators an opportunity to view Sheep and a product they produce in an attractive manner. Entries in this class will be open to any young man or lady ages 9 through 18 years. Sheep may be breeding ewes or market lambs. No Ram Lamb animals will be permitted. Exhibitor need not be the owner. The entrant will be judged on the mode of dress selected. Clothing may range from a scarf to a three-piece outfit, with material being at least 70% wool. Article need not be handmade. DIVISION 58 LADS & LADIES LEAD CLASS: 1. Ages 9 thru 10 (as of day of contest) 2. Ages 11 thru 13 (as of day of contest) 3. RABBITS The show will start at 10:00 am STANDARD OF PERFECTION DIVISION SINGLE and FUR ANIMALS Rules, definitions and judging procedures as prescribed in the latest edition of the Guide Book and Standard of the American Rabbit Breeders Association, Inc., shall apply to all district and county fair rabbit shows, provided they do not conflict with any of the rules and regulations prescribed by the Department of Food and Agriculture. All animals must be identified by permanent ear markings conforming with the entry form on arrival at the show. Any duplication of ear markings by one exhibitor in the same division must be eliminated and the change recorded on the judging sheet before judging. Animals will be shown and judged in the proper division and class for breed, variety, age and sex only. If no division is offered, no awards will be made. Rabbits that are disqualified because of permanent defects, deformities or blemishes, and those absent at the time of judging do not count when computing the numbers of exhibitors in the class. A judge may eliminate (excuse) a rabbit from competition because of temporary or curable defects but the rabbit should be counted as an entry. The age in months (4 months, etc.) must be entered on the entry form for each animal entered in breed divisions. RABBIT FUR QUALITY All normal furred breeds are eligible to compete. Colored All colors except white. (Color not considered.) White Usable portion of pelt to be white. All rabbits are eligible to compete in their respective breed fur or wool classes, and if normal furred, in the Commercial Normal Fur class. All fur and wool classes to be separately paid entries. All rabbits entered in fur or wool classes must be entered and shown in their respective class. Note: Any rabbit disqualified from competition or unworthy of award shall be ineligible to compete in any fur or wool class. Horses 6 months and younger are exempt Stall fees: $15.00 per stall (Draft Horses - $15.00 per pen) must accompany entry form. No subletting. No refunds. Fair will assign stalls on first come basis. The Fair has very limited stalling so early entries will assure stalls. In order to properly identify the Exhibitor and Owner, please use the following: Owner- Owner of record of the Horse being shown. Exhibitor-- Person actually showing the Horse. Horses entered in Halter Classes must be registered with recognized purebred breed association. Photocopy of mare s registration certificate and copy of breeder s certificate required. Photocopies of breed registration certificates must be sent in with entries. If original registration certificates are used, they must be presented to the Fair Office no later than 4:00 P.M., Wednesday, Aug 30,. Substitutions must be completed at least 24 hours before judging is scheduled to begin. Fair reserves the right to split classes if needed; or judge small classes simultaneously. Management may combine classes, divisions or both.
